They are being charged as we speak...mine was done yesterday.

If you have a lease from September, I would claim September as the start date of living together and apply a few days after the 1 year mark in September. You should obviously apply Outland, and you will need letters from friends and family stating they know about your common law relationship...

Maybe try the IEC program if you qualify...that gives you 12 months to stay in Canada and then get visitor visa's after...but apply for PR soon...it takes a long time...and don't stay in the country without status...it won't look good on your PR application.

    September 2014 OUTLAND Applications

Congrats! Glad its almost over. Did they request prepaid return envelope too? They are notoriously cheap in Warsaw...everything has to be prepaid in advance...ugh. I'm assisting family with TRV's and they want the same thing to give the approved Visa's.

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Landed yesterday (flagpolled). Just in case anyone is trying to drive across at Buffalo, you actually are allowed to simply make a U-turn before the bridge to US to come back to immigration in Canada. The officer jokingly asked if I did that. I actually went to grab dinner in the US and came...

    WARSAW TIMELINE-Join here !!

After submitting the application for sponsorship, we only heard back that the sponsor was approved and the application was being transferred to Warsaw (all in the same letter). After that, the only indication was on ECAS that it showed application received and medicals received. It is...

So my application took a total of 7 months (2 months for SA and 5 for PR). Seeing that SA is now taking longer, I would factor in the average of 8 total from mailing date to DM.

What was in the package was a waste of my money! I paid $175 to get my original application back (NOT THAT I KNEW IT) and it included 2 pages of your COPR with 3 instruction pages which you give to the border officer. Had they just sent me the COPR, it would have cost maybe $30!! Nowhere did...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I don't think they will be mailing very much. More than likely you will get email notification first. Since you uploaded your new address, it is very likely there...but they give themselves a "cushion" of time to tell you that they will update it. Address changes I'm sure get higher priority...

From what I have experienced, if you are from a visa exempt country, you are typically requested to send only a photocopy of all the pages in your passport. If you need a VISA, you are requested to send either an advance photocopy of your passport and then your physical passport...or they...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

ECAS finally updated to Decision Made. They added one extra line to say that they began processing the application on March 18...same day as the date they made the decision! So they can actually process an application very quickly LOL ;D Just kidding...but it does make you question the...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Don't worry too much about the status...in my opinion it is meaningless and doesn't help. Mine finally just got updated to Decision Made. They also added one extra line saying that they began processing my application on March 18...the day they sent me the email that the decision was made. It...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I'm happy to report that I received my email from the VO that my Visa is ready to be picked up by courier (at my own cost of course). All arranged and emailed shipping label to VO to have them send it to me UPS. :D ECAS still showing "application received" :'(

Thanks very much...that was fast work!! Just got my email to arrange for a courier to pick up my visa documents!!! ;D COPR is good until August. Bit of a pain to arrange for the courier myself (since VO won't do it) and cost me $175!! But at least it is done. Now only one more waiting...

The majority of people send it by courier and make sure it was received properly. That gives them piece of mind for at least the first 75 days. After SA, you get a letter (at least I did) that the sponsor was approved along with file/UCI numbers and that the file is being sent to Warsaw...

If you did outland application, your first indication of a case file# will be at sponsorship approval at around 78 days...they have been sticking to this processing time pretty close...but it could be sooner (or later). As sponsor, you will also be issued your own UCI number as well on the...

Best of luck...who knows, you may be just as lucky to be done in 5 months! Is there any way for you to find out any more info on your friend's process? It would help the others on this board knowing more timelines of actual success cases through Warsaw (hence the reason for our little thread...

Definitely congrats. You certainly beat the posted processing time by a mile!! Vienna is 17 months. My VO is 9 months and still waiting...definitely no logic in the times to process for sure!

Visitor Visa well waiting for sponsorship

Well I was going to go into some long explanation but I guess the easiest way to explain my point is to ask you directly this same question for my situation. So I'm asking you directly only this question: "I'm currently waiting for PR under the spousal sponsorship program. Am I able to apply...
