From my understanding, you don't have to send any original documents in. Copies of original documents will do. All the copies of documents that you need to send should be on the OWP checklist.

Its not exactly in the metro Vancouver area but I got a biometrics call on Friday November 20th and they told me that their next available biometric appointment was on Monday November 23rd in Chilliwack. I really wanted to get it done ASAP, so I drove the hour it took to get there from the metro...

    *** March 2020 INLAND Spouse Sponsorship ***

I got my OWP in the mail! I received it on Wednesday November 18th in the mail! It has some weird "conditions" such as not being able to work in certain industries such as healthcare or childcare, I think this is because I have not done my medical yet and I know that healthcare is an industry...

Are you asking did it say a background check was being processed for the OWP? If so, no. It has always stated that a background check was "not applicable" and it still says that.

We received our OWP approval letter! It did not go to the sponsor's or the applicant's email address. We had to log into GCKey and look in our "messages" section. It showed up a day after it said "approved" in our account. I should also mention that we got a ghost update a day before it said...

I'm not sure if the 1 year visa from the CBSA would work or not. I do know that if he is a USA citizen his status would also be "visitor" as USA citizens are allowed to be in Canada for up to 6 months and have a "visitor visa" that does not need to be applied for. We are automatically granted a...

I totally know what you mean. We had this problem too and I'm pretty sure everyone does. Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer? If not, do install it on your computer. Its free. https://acrobat.adobe.com/ca/en/acrobat/pdf-reader.html These are some instructions that IRCC...

We were able to link the OWP today! We had a hard time with it. Tried multiple times. The problem was, we were using the sponsor's UCI instead of the Applicant's UCI. If anyone is having issues linking their OWP, I recommend going into the PR Application linked online and then getting the...

You don't have to go to a government office. If you use an approved channeler, you can get your fingerprints taken at a UPS location. I highly recommend you look into getting that done while you're still in the USA.

You can't get your police certificate? Have you tried using an "approved FBI channeler"? https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/list-of-fbi-approved-channelers-for-departmental-order-submissions We used Stearling Identity and were really happy with their service. Ok, I so know what you mean. It can be very confusing at first. We had a very hard time figuring things out and organizing our application. So basically, you need to follow the instructions on the application checklist and use that as your guide. You need to include this application checklist...

FYI, someone added an extra row for "AOR with Prospective App #" on our spreadsheet for those who have gotten the "Inland AOR" temporary app number letter: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LxDFjvZn-XR9uZpGbPTORYKQf0BMquSXNw0RvmqvZNU/edit?usp=drivesdk

Yes!! It says it right in the email subject line! It clearly states “inland AOR” followed by the temporary X number! It also says that they have “received our application” in the letter and an AOR literally means “Acknowledgement Of Receipt”. Hooray! I think they are giving us this temp AOR due...

Open Work Permits not being approved even when meeting eligibility criteria

These are really good questions. As an inland Spouse Visa with OWP March 2020 applicant, I'd very much like to know.
