    Not very sure but it could be anything from finger print request to additional docs request to RQ . You could call CIC call center to figure out before the letter arrives ! Good luck

    They applied in Sep 2011 . got RQed in Dec 2012 . They contacted their MP's office (Stephen Harper) in October 2014 which told them that their case will be processed within a month or so . And it happened exactly in the same way .
