    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

I had the same issue. People on here advised me to take new photos just in case. The agent did ask for them during the landing, but then seemed to change their mind and handed them straight back (so I still have them!). So if you can take them, please do for your peace of mind. Maybe...

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

It was empty on my COPR, so they wrote that information on by hand.

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

Received 1 card Thursday 28th, and the other Tuesday 2nd. Mine was sent to my office address, which was very odd!

    Applicants from Europe and USA

I think it would be hard to use a passport booth photo. I'm not sure if you can get a booth to do the right size (50mm x 70mm) - much bigger than our UK passport photos. And even if the booth would do the right size, you have to have the name, address and date of the commercial photographer...

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

Yes - it all seems to happen at the same time, I logged in earlier today and my application still just said "Submitted" (as it did since the ghost update), then when I looked again later it goes straight to your card being mailed. There doesn't seem to be just a regular "approved" status prior...

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

Log back in to your account, once again it will say Application Updated. Click on that, and it will say "A final decision has been made" in the top left. Scroll down to the bottom, and it will tell you your card has been mailed and it could take 6 weeks to arrive (which I think is a big...

Soft landing - Can I stay in Waterloo?

You have to perform your PR landing in Pearson there and then when you land. They will ask you for an address to mail your PR card to (it takes 8 weeks ish). If you don't have an address yet I believe you can inform them later of where to send the card to. You can get your SIN in Kitchener...

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

Huh, that's not what the letter says. It says if you have valid OHIP already, you need only call. Sadly I didn't call yet so maybe they will tell me to go to an office (was hoping to avoid until current card expires). Will call and report back.

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

My work permit was almost brand new (just renewed it) and COPR expiry was in May. Did you receive the automatic email response first? You should get an automatic response very quickly, and then later a real response with an appointment time. And, are you sure your office is Etobicoke? As far...

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

Hi everyone Just wanted to share my experience of inland landing in Etobicoke, as I noticed there aren't many recent posts about it. Getting the appointment When you received your COPR, it will direct you to call the usual number (888-242-2100) to schedule an appointment. In reality, when...

    COPR Appointments, what to bring

Thanks! For the photos - I guess the problem is that it costs $40 every time and you must go to a professional photographer again (having been 2 weeks ago to get the same photos done)... Seems like a waste of time and money if they don't need them. Wonder if anyone has been through the process...

    COPR Appointments, what to bring

I just received my landing appointment email (pretty quick too, I only made the request last week and the appointment is next Tuesday) and wondered if anyone had any experience they could share from the appointment? The letter says to take 2 x PR card photos. However, I already submitted those...

passports to cpc ottawa- january 2019

For those also still waiting, my passport copies were delivered Wednesday 6th, application approved 9pm last night (i.e. Saturday 16th). So it does seem to take a while sometimes. Now waiting on the return tracker being activated, but as others have said, Monday is a holiday here.

    PR application beyond 6 months?

Not quite there yet! Sending off my form today from the request for visa email. Hopefully get the COPR in the next few weeks, then I will relax. The progress bar is just automated, it shows exactly 6 months from your application submission date. I would send the webform, they will tell you if...

German PCC : certificate of conduct

You must fill out the form on their website and have the notary certify that the details are correct. There is a spot on the form for their signature/stamp. https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/EN/Topics/citizen_services/BZR/Resident_abroad/Resident_abroad_node.html If in any doubt you can call the...

    PR application beyond 6 months?

Your entire process says completed but you didn't get your PPR/Request for Visa? I would contact them via the webform if so. Or are you just referring to the estimated progress bar at the top? I think that is informational only. Even though I got my Request for Visa email yesterday, my...

    PR application beyond 6 months?

Yes I was thinking of it but I've always been wary of flag poling. Surely it's a massive hassle for the rest of your life when you go to the US, having the "denied entry" record? I would imagine you're always going to get more questions and hold ups at the border. I saw on the IRCC website...
