I completely understand and that's why I have been hesitating so far. Sitting at 453, maxed out on everything, I don't have any other options. I couldn't choose between US and Canada. As for the US, I have L1A for 5 years in which I have already wasted 2 years. Thinking of going back with...

My take is these 470+ folks have always been there, even in the past, but the influx is just coming to light now because pnp is eating up majority of the selected profiles. Hope it should settle soon.

Okay, let me share my view. First, it is very very expensive. Everything you touch here are expensive when compared to US and you get salary less than that of US too. Education? I am not so sure. I don't think it can ever come close to what we get these days in India. Kids in same grade in...

On the contrary, what do you guys think are the upsides of being in Canada? Education, Health, Job??! None of these are getting any front seats AFAIK.

Pdfs should be enough, I think. I haven't heard/read anyone sending physical copies to CIC anymore. It's all electronic now.

Everyone is talking about H1B rejections. Is that still happening? I know it was the case before, but I haven't heard any unreasonable rejections anytime recently. If there anything, they all had valid reasons like improper manager letter or insufficient time period on sow, but folks are...

They may choose to increase 10K next year, but by then the backlog will grow to 50K. Unless otherwise, CIC consciously does something to reduce crs, this will continue for some time. Honestly, I don't think they have skipped any draws. For them, there always has been a draw once in every 2...

Look at the score of folks getting added everyday...when was the last time did anyone see someone with 440 range? All are now 460+. Where were you guys so far? Is there any sale going on anywhere for free points?;)

For ex-employer letters, you don't have to wait for ITA right? Can you not get the letters from ex employer now itself?

Sorry to hear that !! May I ask what was the reason for rejection? So it can be an alert for all of us here...

Are you not extending it? If your application is in progress I guess you are still under valid status.

Is the job in Canada? If you are claiming points for valid job offer in Canada, I don't think you can quit yet. On the other side, if it is outside Canada, you sure can choose to quit as long as you have all valid reference letters and you complete 3 years of work experience. Hope that helps.

Usually they make sites active/passive or active/active so that no down time is required for new updates. It is very common these days.

Absolutely. That helps a lot. Thank you for sharing. What stream did you choose again? I enquired about the study on work permit. It is not allowed. And a full time study has to be minimum 15 hours in class per week.
