Initially it gets updated in your GCKey account. By the end of the process you will receive a Biometric Validation Letter(BVL) which you can use for any future temporary VISA applications for Canada and will be valid for 10 years.
Sorry to hear this. What was the reason ? Apply for GCMS notes and find out the exact reasons.
It is terrible they took so long with your file just to reject !
What stage is your application in ? When did your review start ? Did you order GCMS notes already ? You can jump on below active thread for AUH as well to see if someone has similar timeline like yours...
If you are comfortable, paste the notes in your initial question. This would help people understand what VO thought was a problem & a potential solution.
Did you at any point order your GCMS notes? If yes, please post the summary comments here so people can guide you accordingly. If not, strongly suggest you order one before you proceed to apply again.
If you applied with SP it gets processed faster as per SP timelines. Otherwise the wait is quite long. Someone mentioned along this thread at some point that they have been waiting over 5 months for approval.
I am still waiting for the hard copies. They said it will take upto 3 months to issue a provisional certificate. This is when I told them, why dont they just make a copy themselves once they have it ready and send it. They said no, they will ship it to me and then I send it back to them by POST...
Thanks for the info. I really don't get it though why a physical copy is required. They should be able to extract a copy very easily from their system?(infact even more secure to avoid any tampering of documents). Absolutely happy to pay for the cost of print out if that's what it is about ?
Vaccine passports are in talk with most countries. There might still be quarantine requirements but not institutional but rather tracked home quarantine only. Until that happens, expect this to continue through rest of the year atleast.
Wow, painfully long. I dont know what process they follow for providing SP. One thing I know is if it takes them this long in this age of technology, they are doing something terribly wrong.
Congrats! You deserve that good sleep tonight.
They say this because it is a loophole. What people usually do is they apply alone and state in SOP that they have their family to go back to which reduces your risk of overstaying (as per VO). Once they get SP approved they will apply for SOWP. Seems this does not get flagged by IRCC as they...
This infact is a positive scenario if the VO uses some logic. It can be said that you have a family to go back to in your permanent country of residence and will not overstay.
No worries. just an additional note, don't trust everything your agent says. Understand, they do this for profit so they are not always thinking about the best interest of the candidate. Ensure you check every single document in your profile yourself to ensure accuracy.
