    LMIA interview

Shouldn't take too long. My employer got the approval email the next day after the interview. As long as there is no email/letter received, the decision can still go both ways. Good luck!

Passports to CPC Ottawa- June 2017

Hey, based on what I've read here, the wording would differ depending on if you submitted an RCMP check upfront or not (I did not and they never requested for one) If you submitted, IP1 would be "The next step is to conduct a background check..." If not, IP1 is "We are processing..."...

    LMIA support

Yup, we got approved (my PR application has been approved as well). The $1000 fee is for a dual-intent LMIA, meaning if your employer is sponsoring both your work permit and application for PR. Since you have your own work permit already (PGWP), the LMIA will be just to support your PR...

    LMIA support

Since you're on a PGWP, your employer can apply for an LMIA to support your PR application (no fee). Here's another link you can check out: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/foreign-workers/permanent.html My employer did the same :)

On an average, it can take 2 weeks from the time they receive your passport, issue the counterfoil/COPR and send back to you.
