Update from my side: FP request received for Spouse: 17 Feb FP submitted: 21 Feb Nowhere on tracker the FP request is showing up. Might need to call IRCC and check if it doesn’t show up in another couple of days. Email came from Vancouver office.

Not just few days more, it could even be few months, my BG completed in Dec but spouse is still waiting.

Don’t assume on the basis of where you live. They are not distributing strictly based on city/province of residence anymore.

Most likely you will get a FP request, and it is where things go down a rabbit hole, no one knows when! Every office/agent is so different. My spouse has the same case, waiting since Dec 20 (security passed but not criminality). Did you ask which is your local office as well?

It will good to start tracking actual local office given now it is strictly not as per applicants location. We can add a column and let applicants confirm the local office location once they get to know via calling or email id inference.

It can move to in progress even if background is not completed. It basically moves to in progress when application starts getting processed. Trigger could be FP request, background completion or no material update to tracker for a long time(would appear as a ghost update the first time and date...

Only other way is email correspondence with the office processing your application but for that you need an email from them first so that you know the email id. So you have no option but to call them. Give it a couple of days, you might get an email.

It’s what is called a ghost update, when they make changes but you don’t see it reflected on the tracker. Just wait for an actual update to the tracker. You might see BG completed or some other request like FP or nothing at all. Good news is your application is moved beyond AOR now and is being...

Without that email you cannot submit FP. So it’s best to call IRCC and tell them that you have not received any email if you don’t get it in next couple of days. You have only 30 days to submit so make sure call IRCC and have them send an email with letter attached.

AOR is sent to email and not physical address. As you are able to login to tracker and it has moved past AOR now, forget about AOR. I’m assuming you received it but you don’t recognize or recall it since you could login to tracker. And it is normal.

Yes one is supposed to get email notifications for test invites but there have been cases where test window is updated on tracker but no email was sent. So keep checking tracker regularly. Also, note: 1) emails are usually sent a couple of days before the test window. 2) without an email also...
