Thanks :) It just shows how important it is to work on the 'test' part as well as the 'language' part :) Good luck! I'm sure you can do it in 2-3 months max.

Thanks! :) Sure, always happy to help. Yes, I had a tutor for the whole 10 months - 5x 1h every week plus exercises etc. so I was doing around 2.5h a day in total (literally every single day- if I missed a day, I would make up those hours on some other day). I really admire people who can...

Thanks :) BTW, although working from home helped a lot with time management and learning French, I carried on working full time throughout Covid. But I guess the lockdown and complete change of my daily pattern helped with adding 2.5h per day for French. Personally I think that everyone can...

    FSW WORLDWIDE

Nope, no regrets. French added 62 points to my score (if I remember correctly). I would be on around 440 without it and I don't expect CRS to drop this low anytime soon (if ever). It would take another 3 draws of 7,000 each to get it down to around 472. I started learning French at the...

Timeline after submission on the new PR confirmation portal

I'm FSW-O applicant and I will be landing in Canada at the end of April. Do I need to set up/link my application in the PR profile to track the progress of my PR card? I know that once I land, I have to provide my address so the card can be mailed to me but I will be staying at that address for...

I'm based in Cambridge and I just went to Snappy Snaps. They knew the requirements but it's best if you show them IRCC website with the requirements just to be sure.

Wow that's weird. I kept getting update emails all the time. In fact, I was getting 2 emails each time - one for my envelope and one for my wife's :D

Oh wow, that's amazing! Congrats! Did you get automated update emails from VFS while you were waiting? Or complete silence?

Not sure, maybe you're right. The last few weeks have been pretty crazy preparing for the move so maybe I missed some updates.

Pretty decent drop to 490 points. I wonder if they will do another big draw in 2 weeks and then implement changes from April. Kinda similar to those 4 big all-program draws at the end of 2020. ...or they're simply catching up after the last few PNP-only draws.

Can a PPR be sent out by mistake?

Defo PPR :) I think the shortest processing time from AOR to PPR I've seen recently is 19 days, so yes, IRCC definitely picked up some pace :) Congratulations :)

express entry overall score 0 points

Without your wife's language test results, I think you have 63 points so you're not eligible. After adding her points, it should be 68 so it should be fine. Bear in mind that 350 CRS points won't be enough for FSW so your options are FST or getting a job offer.

I delivered my documents to VFS in person to avoid any delays with postage etc. and to make sure they have and can start processing it, so the process was a bit different. That being said, my guess is that they haven't started the process yet as I kept getting automated emails starting from the...

express entry overall score 0 points

You either made a mistake somewhere in your application or you don't have enough points to qualify for EE in the first place. Did you score at least 67 points when you checked your eligibility? 350 CRS points is a very low score, way too low for FSW, not sure about FST. What's your IELTS score...
