We all should ask for evidence of what they are claiming & get confirmation in writing. They randomly makes rules, specially for earning from photos & purolator service.
I think we should ask them to give it in writing if they make any such claim.
Also, can you please confirm when you submitted your application? Rules for walk-in are changing frequently these days.
I don't think anyone who submitted on 15-Dec got OCI or status as printed? Can you please give an example of anyone? It usually takes around 6 weeks for status to be printed.
I agree with Abbas' point regarding issue BLS is creating for photograph. They had objected to my minor son's photo even when he was wearing quite dark t-shirt.
Infact if you have not already got photos clicked or if not getting them for much less price, I suggest to get it clicked there...
Have they kept your Indian passport & charged for 2 Purolator drop offs - one for original documents & second for OCI?
They created issue for my spouse's photo as well & wanted us to sign declaration; even when photo was exactly as per guidelines & used earlier for surrender certificate.
I know that CGI employees are likely part of this, but still raise a ticket through CGI website. I am also going to complain about loot BLS is doing in name of drop-off service. Situation will keep on worsening if we don't formally complain.
Has BLS Brampton/ Toronto started accepting walk-ins without appointment? I don't see that instruction anymore which mentioned that only appointments are acceptable.
Start checking directly on Purolator website using reference number starting with CANT#####. We got OCI for my spouse on 4-Jan, & status on BLS website is still not correct.
Exactly. For my spouse's surrender certificate, we took entire checklist but they returned it saying that it's not required. So next time for my SC I only took first page of checklist & they said all the pages are needed, & charged me for printout.
Earlier they were not keeping Indian passport for walk-ins. But now they started keeping that. So I won't be surprised if they start asking for original Indian passport for postal applications as well.
