I’m going by when the application was received. Most folks got temp AOR in January of 2021. I’m thinking we might get a permanent AOR around mid-May based on this (ours was received beginning of November). We’ll see….not getting my hopes up, LOL.

Where did you get the 700 + 300 number? I thought the average acceptance was around 1200 for 2022.

we moved and I tried to send new info via a web form but have no idea if it actually went through. At least my email is the same and I think that’s how they contact you. It’s not a very organized system, at least for those of us who applied via paper application.

Well we mailed out our paper application 2 years ago today. And they still haven’t opened our application

You should post in the 2022 forum since they’ll be in the same boat as you. I applied in November of 2020 (paper application)…a temporary AOR in Jan 2021 and nothing since.

Timeline for self-employed stream is 41 months.

It could be that you can apply for that as self-employed, depending on your NOC. You’d have to look it up. But you would apply through Express Entry, not the self-employed stream (EE is probably faster).

Thanks. I wonder what the reason was…..hearing that the music teachers did not get approved is bad news. We are both musicians/music teachers. Anyway, I am no longer counting on Canada since they are just not responding to the backlogs. And the self employed stream is obviously on a back burner...
