No... What about you? Their processing time now is 110+ days. I landed roughly 90 days ago. my application status is still "submitted".

IF that is the case, I believe you are yet to reach the security check stage. The term "background check" they used most likely refers to eligibility and criminality. I think it is just a prolonged processing time due to the pandemic. At this point you don't know what kind of security check will...

Hey mate Did you call them to confirm that was a genuine email from IRCC? Maybe it was just a system glitch?

I have experienced SS. Which specific aspect of security check would you like to know more about?

Congrats The processing time for PR card is now more than 100 days, so you really have some serious waiting to do haha

I think they will tell you they can neither give you a precise timeframe nor speed up the process.... Now the processing time for initial PR cards is more than 110 days, and I am still waiting.

Hey Have you noticed that the processing time for solemn declaration is now 248 days on IRCC website? That is insanely long and frustrating....

Hi No I haven't received it yet. The new processing time for initial PR cards on IRCC website is 113 days, which means almost 4 months after landing. I landed roughly 70 days ago, so I guess I have to wait for another 1.5 months at least.

I think it's unlikely they will dig into the huge pile of returned card... The order in which they process applications is a mystery. I have a friend who landed on March 9 (5 days later than me) and received his card on March 23, so this suggests they may not process applications in sequence...

So did you send that Solemn Declaration Form to Sydney VO for them to reprint your card? When I called them, the agent couldn't even provide a general timeframe for PR card processing because there was a huge backlog and their office was working at minimum capacity. I guess your application now...

Yeah, that's right! I do feel fortunate that I landed right before everything was shut down. However, my PR card becomes the only remaining issue in the entire PR application. Still having something hanging in the air is definitely not a good feeling. Without the PR card, this PR application...

I have also managed to speak to an agent earlier today. They said nothing is wrong with my PR card application but I have to wait without a specific completion time in sight because they are experiencing a high volume of applications while working at a minimum capacity, so your situation is...

That's really bad... I think they should use a trusted courier or at least Canada Post's registered mail to send important documents such as our PR cards. It has been confirmed that there is a significant delay in issuing and mailing PR cards at the moment because of restriction rules...

Can we actually trust Canada Post's service? Maybe their redirection service is not functioning properly... The whereabout of your card is now a mystery.... How terrible...

Do they send our cards by registered mail? I thought there is no tracking number...I think the chance of recovering this card is slim...

It is unlikely that the old card was lost on its way to your previous residence. Maybe the new resident saw the mail but thought it was wrongly addressed, so he or she threw it away without even opening it to see what's inside. As far as I know, their PR card processing office is now partially...

Wow, that's incredibly disorganized... Does this mean they have to resend your card? If so, you will have to wait out another lengthy period...

Congrats! A decision has been made means your application is approved! I think they are putting the remaining procedures on hold for the time being.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I think in the current situation, it is even more difficult for them to do security check as governments around the world are focusing their efforts on containing the pandemic.
