Whoops, ours went from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Application was processed in Vienna.

Ours was basically done in three business days. Sent in on Feb 2nd, and it looks like they stamped the visa on the Friday (4th). It started coming back on Feb 7th, and we had on Feb 8th.

Well, that's a wrap! Got PPR at 12:30am and DM like 3PM the same day. I emailed them on January 30th for a status update, and they responded with PPR, two days later. :) Here's our timeline: Original application sent March 17, 2020. Returned Oct. 2020. Sent back and was lost- March 17, 2020...

Received pre-arrivals on Jan 25th. Any idea how long to PPR? Security and medicals passed. I think criminality has likely passed now.

They wanted my wife's son's police clearance, and they wanted a divorce certificate for a common law relationship I was in. The certificate doesn't exist of course, so the consultant advised that I should send a letter of explanation, which I did.

Is this only for the PA? I'm trying to find the sponsor status on ECAS and it won't show.

Have to see what happens with new my sponsorship. Fingers crossed. Regardless, four months isn't a long time to collect it, which is good in a sense.

I'm only asking because my ex wife took off a few weeks after arriving (this was ten years ago), and got deported four months later. I'm guessing she likely didn't collect welfare during that time, considering how long it's been now.

If the PA leaves the marriage and goes on welfare, does someone contact the sponsor after to collect?

I did the process ten years ago. I can state that it's much improved now. Esp. in regards to providing info on what country-specific docs you need etc. What hasn't changed in the past ten years is to need to read and understand the application thoroughly. I literally went over the...

Yeah, I know where you come from. Just hang in there. It'll work out in the end. I'm hoping they finish in 3-4 months. I'm not optimistic for that, but you just never know. I'm not even so worried about "AOR". I want the biometrics and medicals done.
