    March 2022 - citizenship applications

ugh, I checked mine too. Broke my 12 day streak of not checking my citizenship tracker. No movement on mine. Now I will have to start my streak all over again. Hopefully I can go on without checking it for a month or so this time.

Play the game. Test yourself, how long can you go without checking your citizenship status? I initially went from April 12th to May 5th without checking. Then checked on May 6th :@ Now, will try to break that streak and try to go at least 28 days without checking it. Ideal would be to not check...

Applied for citizenship and left the country for treatment

No, this is not a problem at all. Problem would have been if she was not meeting her PR obligations (2 years in last 5 years) or citizenship requirements (3 years in last 5 years and if your application was returned). You're all good.

    March 2022 - citizenship applications

This is crazy, I didn't know there could be restrictions on them having your info of residing in Canada prior to your becoming a PR if you were a US citizen. I hope I don't run into same issues when applying for my daughters in a couple of weeks. Edit: Since my daughters are minors, I suppose...

    Question on Separate Citizenship Applications

So, it turns out that I miscalculated the time taken for my wife to complete her 1095 days. I was under the impression she would complete her 1095 days some time in July. It turns out that he is complete her 1095 at the end of next week :S. Which is when I will apply for her and my two kids...

That's pretty good for background check. Do you get a ghost update for background check completion or you just checked online and it showed complete?

It has been 22 days since I last checked my citizenship application status on the portal. It's a game I am playing to avoid checking the application status. Let's see how long I can wait before I give in to the temptation.

    ADR for new PCC

1 month is not a long time though. If you can get a new one, get it. Other option is to submit the old one with LOE explaining the situation.

    March 2022 - citizenship applications

According to this thread, there is a problem with the portal and hence you are probably unable to see your status. I am not entirely sure that is the problem though. Or wait until you get the official email which asks you to check your status. Mine came about a week after I received the AOR.

The good thing is that the govt is also making the right noises about trying to clear the backlog. Let's hope they do it. Apparently they will open FSW programs in July as well. I am assuming they are expanding their processing capabilities (which they talked about a couple months ago). I have...

As long as you get your citizenship certificate in hand, I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I think it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks for your certificate to get to you.
