    OCI process

This is the official website => https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html Click on that link and then select "Countries/Nationalities who are eligible to avail eVisa". You won't see Canada on that list.

    OCI process

e-Visa is suspended for all nationalities because of Covid-19. Also, India, for non-Covid reasons, removed Canada from the list of countries whose citizens can get e-visa. So, if you want to travel to India now and you don't have time to get OCI, you'll have to get an entry visa and currently...

Notes from Discover Canada - Preparation for the Citizenship Test

Not "very" picky. The purpose of the ID is to verify your identity. If the image you submitted was so blurred that they couldn't even see the name and DOB on it, then yes, they might send you an invite for a retest. Doesn't happen too often though.

    September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Guarantors must be Canadian citizens who hold a Canadian passport that is either valid or is expired for less than a year. Referrals can be anyone, anywhere in the world but you cannot use family members residing at the same address as you as referrals. Check this =>...

Citizenship returned incomplete. I suspect a clerical error at CPC's end, what now ?

Not worth it at all. Even though your "local office" might change on paper, the "Event Office" is likely to remain the same (test, oath etc will be sent from the event office). What I'm saying is though there is a small chance this might work, it is likely for the "Event Office" to remain as...

    OCI process

BLS stopped accepting both surrender and OCI together. You'll have to apply for surrender first, wait for that to be processed and then apply for OCI.

I understand. I completely understand the frustration while waiting. I had my share of that when waiting for OINP to be processed. I hope you get your update real soon. Wish you all the very best.

You'll receive an email about a week or two before the ceremony (usually a week before).

    OCI application

Nope. It is weird that they did not ask you to cut it but using it for travel after becoming a citizen is not allowed. The odds are that the PR card would have been deactivated and if you try to use it, it might set of alarms. DO NOT USE YOUR PR CARD after you become a Canadian citizen.

    September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

When I responded to the post that you've quoted, there was no option of taking test outside Canada. This was a relatively recent development (the official word from IRCC about this came on July 15th, 2021 if I am not wrong). My post that you've quoted is from May 6th, 2021 so it is obvious why I...

Older Passport Reported Lost Years Ago - Later Found

Yes, please do. If you do not have passports that covers the full 5 years, then provide an explanation. Explain that you only have first and last pages of the old passport and you are submitting that.

    Canadian Passport in person timeline

    1. Don't leave it blank. The chances of them calling your employer is close to zero. Do not leave it blank though. 2. Yes, I left it blank. 3. As per the instructions, just the 3 pages.

Most of it is true... Except... You CANNOT come back with an Indian passport. You need a Canadian passport to come to Canada.
