Is court marriage enough for spouse visa for canada while studying?

I am from Ukraine, we got approved. My partner had F2 visa for the US (while I am on F1). If you guys went somewhere abroad together that could prove the marriage, or if your spouse has a dependant visa while you are principal holder.

Is court marriage enough for spouse visa for canada while studying?

As long as your marriage is genuine, it doesn't matter whether you had a traditional wedding. I am not from India, but when we applied we did not have a traditional ceremony (like with the white dress and so on). Also, if you guys were going somewhere abroad, that could help with proving whether...

    Student Visa Validity

I believe you have to apply for both visa and SP all over again. The reason is that your visa is only valid if you are attending your enrolled post-secondary institution. the Only exception would be if you are already in Canada and just need new SP. Check the GC Key you applied through - most...

Can I apply for SIN at Pearson International airport?

Not necessarily. If OP has a lease, or a renting contract, then they can apply online. Just a signed page of landlord and tenant that has an address of the unit is enough for them. Plus, you can open a bank account in person without SIN

Can I apply for SIN at Pearson International airport?

Don’t know about Toronto, but in Vancouver it was closed at the airport. The soonest you can apply is as soon as you arrive and it would be delivered to you directly before you get out of the quarantine

No POE after stamping? Read this!

Don’t worry. Once you get counterfoil stamped in your passport all of those statuses will have their final dates. My wild guess is that your passport is the final thing they need to check before stamping

No POE after stamping? Read this!

Which month was your latest travel to Canada? I am talking about traveling without POE for the first time. In November, the airline staff asking me to show the letters or the permits directly at the gate along with ArriveCan app. Of course, in 2016 it was super different than now. I do see that...

How recent was your latest travel without the permit? I traveled to Canada in mid-November. If you traveled before I did, then maybe they changed the requirements to board a person on a flight

No POE after stamping? Read this!

How much time did pass since you got your counterfoil? I only got my letter 3 days after getting counterfoil details. However, I guess it is safe to book tickets about a month from now. By that time you will have the letter in your account

No POE after stamping? Read this!

You can find POE letter on GC key. All you have to do is to just print it out. Don’t confuse it with the actual permit though, that is issued at POE

Depends on where you’re flying from. Some airports/airlines are stricter when it comes to flights to Canada. If any of you are flying to Canada from Europe, they will ask you for this letter before boarding your flight

    Quarantine queries

It depends on the school quarantine plan that they submitted to the government. My school didn’t have anything specific except that I can stay in the hotel free of charge for the duration of self-isolation if I do not have my own location. The only thing they do not cover is food and transport...

    Quarantine queries

Pack as much food as you can because depending on where you live it might be quite expensive to order groceries. My husband and I spend a bit more than 600 CAD ordering from instacart for the 2 self-isolation weeks. Also, be transparent and make sure to tell your location that you’re going to be...
