Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

I replied to you in the other thread.... that unfortunately, officially you are not eligible for open work permit. You can get an employer-specific closed work permit with your CSQ, and it is quite easy because CSQ makes you LMIA exempt. Few people managed to get an open work permit but as per...

CSQ to Obtain an Open Work Permit in Quebec

Unfortunately the official answer is that with CSQ you cannot get an open work permit. You are LMIA -exempt so it makes it easier for your prospective employer to help you obtain a work permit, but it will be a closed one. Or employer specific. That's the deal. In other provinces PR applicants...

    CSQ Apply

The intake is not currently open. Only those with validated job offer and/or who already reside in Quebec can submit at any time. If you are not one of them, you have to wait until Immigration Quebec announces that the intake starts. That being said, there was a glitch in the system that allowed...

Which Work Permit is the best in this Case?

If you can be considered common-law partners (lived continuosly together for at least 12 months) check this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/help-your-spouse-common-law-partner-work-canada.html Also, you may want to check your eligibility for...

    UK Education documents true copies

well, you never know. I'm from the Nordic countries and have a PhD degree, and they wanted everything, diplomas and transcripts starting from high school which is ridiculous... Anyway, it slowed me down because although I did provide my high school diploma immediately, they insisted on getting a...

Work Permit Renewal without CSQ - LMIA Exempt

LMIA-exemption code is not something you can apply for, as far as I understand. Some occupations and situations are LMIA -exempt, and for anything that falls outside of it, you have to get LMIA.

Is the dimension of baggage (check-in) strict/mandatory to be followed?

If the length + width + height exceeds 158 cm, it will very likely be considered oversized baggage and additional fees will be applied. Air Canada can charge 100 dollars extra for oversized baggage.

This or That. What to/what not to carry In-Flight from India to Canada?

There is no way they will let rice in. Even the rice sold here sometimes has bugs and stuff in it, biohazards. Grain products are only allowed, if they are processed or cooked, such as bread. I bring bread from my home country frequently. I came with three pieces of luggage back in the day, and...

A awkward situation about work permit.

Officially your only route for a work permit after getting CSQ is the closed employer-specific work permit. You can always try your luck for open, but there is no guarantee whatsoever that you'll get it. Your company's response is amazingly strange. What do they mean by saying they don't want to...

    Quebec immmigration

Holy moly this has to be one of the longest timelines I've seen for CSQ/PR. Why don't you call Immigration Quebec and try to find out what's going on? https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/reach/index.html Edit. or call Immigration Canada, if you are already at PR stage.

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

The current application processing time for Quebec is 15 months at the federal stage. It means that 80% of applications in the recent past have taken that long to process. I'm under the impression that 97-98% of applications are approved (from open statistics of CIC).

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Yes, I have COPR listed like this, and it has an expiry date meaning the deadline for landing. The document is also specified as COPR, but maybe they filled it in later. So it looks like yours has been issued and it should be on its way soon!!

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Yep, Quebec is a piece of work for not allowing their CSQ holders applying for PR to get the bridging open work permit. It is total stupidity! Whose benefit is it, that you may end up with applicants being unemployed while waiting for PR? Ridiculous. Also I think it is ridiculous from employers...

QSW application timeline @ Montreal QC

The document list is determined for each applicant separately, and some people need to submit different documents than others. Montreal Dreaming...and questioning!

    1) General process is to first obtain CSQ, after that apply for federal permanent residency. CSQ is a lot of work, federal not so much but waiting forever. 2) For skilled workers residing overseas, there are application periods that open whenever Quebec decides to open them. And it is first come...
