Driver record from California for DL exchange in Ontario

You are welcome! If you don’t have the official driver record from dmv showing at least 2 years of history then unless you are extremely lucky you won’t get your G license and that will make life difficult. 1. Your insurance rates become very high 2. You drive with lots of restrictions. Even...

Driver record from California for DL exchange in Ontario

I couldn’t figure out a way since both in person visits and mail response for my request from dmv also had the same problem. Fortunately by the time I applied for my license in Ontario I had completed 2 years since last renewal in California. So I kinda scraped through! But i gave the guys here...

Driver record from California for DL exchange in Ontario

Thank you. I got it from my local DMV office, after filling out INF1125, and it is not an online print out. Disappointing to hear that they do not accept the letters from local offices too!! I still have a few more weeks, let me try to get this done ASAP. Not sure if in MI you get the complete...

Driver record from California for DL exchange in Ontario

I am planning to move in permanently to Ontario next month (completed by soft landing as a PR earlier). I will be moving from California, USA. I tried getting my "driver record" from DMV here in California in order for my DL(driver license) exchange in Ontario. But noticed that the driver...

Soft Landing: Need info for Seattle - Vancouver border

You will be directed to the CBSA building that is probably 100m away from the border crossing post, not a big deal. The landing process itself would take about an hour. If you are a family then then expect it to take a bit little longer since the officer would have to complete the paperwork for...

Soft Landing: Need info for Seattle - Vancouver border

hi, Once you are at the border crossing check point, the officer checking your entry into Canada will guide you as to what exactly should you do to complete the landing. So, you need not worry about where or how to do the landing. At the checkpoint, you will be given a yellow slip and asked to...

    Job Experience Question

IIRC for foreign experience it is more than 3 years, for Canadian experience you may have to check I do not recall. For the other employments you can show whatever you have (paystubs, employee verification letters or relieving letters etc.,), but ensure that you explain the details (that you...

    Job Experience Question

If you do not have the experience letter in the format or with the details that CIC/IRCC requires for all your previous employment history it should be ok as long as your latest employment (or atleast one employement in the past 10 years) is for more than the minimum needed to claim necessary...

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

Yes. The only tricky part there is the place of birth. It has be exact and as mentioned in your CoPR (though it may be incomplete in CoPR) and your passport. If this doesnt match then you may not be able to link.

Did you try calling them? If not, my suggestion would be to try doing that, that way you can get a clear update rather than waiting for these template web form responses.

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

Thanks @lampbreaker . That sounds reassuring. By logic, once they deem the photos fit for CoPR (after first rejection), it should go through the scrutiny for PR cards as well. It all looks so near yet so far :)

Proof of sibling relation for crs points

If not passports, you can try providing birth certificates (yours and your sibling's) which has your parents' names in the certificate. Is your brother a PR still or is a citizen? If citizen, you can try providing OCI (assuming you are an Indian, looking at your name). If nothing works, you...

Track your PR card timeline and processing times here

For folks who have been lurking in this thread for a while - is there a trend of most of the photo requests being only those for people landing from outland? After landing, is the CoPR mailed (regular postal mail) to the PR card processing office? I believe PR cards are dispatched from Sydney...
