Maybe they are related. IRCC has stated clearly that they are contacting expired COPR holders before Oct. They have said nothing about processing FSW applications so far.

Thanks! I'm July 2020 AOR and VO is Ottawa but I don't see any GUs since my medical expired. Hopefully there will be some good news soon for us.

Are they in the all-passed stage? There are the very low-hanging fruits for IRCC. We need actual movement on stuck applications.

I had the same change on my profile. It seems that some people's medical were extended and got PPR but were never shown in the portal while some got a new date with medical passed. They will send a letter if a new medical is required.

My medical expired a couple of weeks ago and when I checked today it got extended. At least it saved me a few hundred dollars and it probably means that they are still processing our applications.

Almost no PPRs are being issued to outlanders except for some residing in the US. Wait until the travel restrictions are lifted.

I don't think that the applications from the second half of 2020 are processed by visa officers yet at the Ottawa office. The eligibility part is most likely passed by an agent not a visa officer.

Vaccination in Canada is still behind because most people only got one-shot. It definitely helps if vaccination progress is accelerated so the time to wait for the second shot is shorter and the efficacy should be higher. From what I heard, the bottleneck of people taking up the new streams...

Another piece of good news is that the US finally decides to share its vaccine with the rest of the world. If Canada gets some then Canada will open up sooner. The US already dropped mask mandate for fully-vaccinated people.

From an immigration lawyer: visa officers indicated in a meeting that the earliest time they are going to process existing FSW applications is August. I won't expect any draws until they start issue PPRs to existing FSW applications.

It’s not gonna apply to all people for sure. I took the vaccine in the us and the us has no plan for a vaccine passport so it won’t even work with the us Canada border.

I actually saw people pulled this off. Lowered the CRS by 10 points and qualified for OINP.
