Visitor Visa (from India - outside of Canada) applicants of October or November 2020

Oh. That's quite a short period of validity. Not sure why they wouldn't give it for the usual six month period of stay. But I guess you are more concerned with the permission for your relative to travel immediately, so it serves the purpose you needed the visa for. Good for you, all the best! :)

Visitor Visa (from India - outside of Canada) applicants of October or November 2020

Hello and congrats! May I ask you how long the single entry visa is valid for? I imagine that it is valid beginning immediately—just wondering what end date they gave you, if you don't mind sharing?

PR Card Processing - Edmonton Office

Hello Edmonton people. I am wondering whether you guys were able to do a walk-in to Service Canada to amend your sin record? Are appointments mandatory for this and are Edmonton SC locations accepting walk-ins at all?

    WES ECA report name issue

I don't think you need to, but wait for other people to respond. I'm just basing this on the WES report that my spouse got. His "name on credential" included his parents' first names for some reason—inserted in between his own first and last names—whereas his passport only mentions his first and...

No. If you want, you can just explain this in your LoE.

    COPR and coronavirus

Thank you. I think this process has made me ultra-paranoid! :) Relieved.

    COPR and coronavirus

Hello everyone. I have a dumb question. Does the biometric information (on the top right corner of the mycic account, inside the box called Applicant Information) disappear after COPR? I can't see my biometric number displayed there any longer. Is this normal? Sorry if it's an idiotic question!

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

Thanks so much for explaining. This last bit you quoted is deeply concerning. I cannot believe they don't care about the mental toll this takes on people whose loved ones are far away. Deadlock indeed. Well, I have emailed IRCC to apprise them of the fact that my dependents are outside. I will...

They often do, it seems. They especially seem to take longer if they go to the Montreal office, which most review required applications seem to go to—because of backlog, I think. I strongly believe I got lucky because Montreal moved my file to a different VO for work redistribution reasons.

Hey. My ADR was showing "uploaded" until the end. It never went to "is being reviewed", it changed to Not Applicable on the day my eligibility passed. I got my copr two days later. And I am not the only one. There are many, many others I know whose ADRs just never change until the end. This does...

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

Thank you. I live in Edmonton (Alberta). I was asked to send photos to IRCC Edmonton. But the offices that processed my application are different (in signature).

Thank you—and indeed! I hope this provides some solace to others with prior visa refusals.

Difference between smaller IRCC offices (e.g. Vancouver) and CPCs?

Watch out for your next ghost update. I got mine the day after my ADR changed to N/A. I got my COPR this morning. I hope you follow the same pattern! All the best everyone!

Montreal Visa Office ... Let's connect here.

I got my COPR today. Although important to note that my file seems to have been processed in Hamilton after being moved from Montreal. Hang in there, folks!

Haha yeah, I had a complex application for many, many reasons! Glad it is over. I might annoy the group later with regard to what is happening with people who have outland dependents, but I think I will give it a rest for today at least! Good luck to everybody.

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

CIC never sent me that standard email which they send many people asking whether everyone is inside Canada or not. So I did not get a chance to tell them. From what I remember, there is no place to write place of current residence for dependents in the application itself. However, I did...

Principal Applicant (Inland) Dependent (Outland) during COVID-19

Thank you for answering. I just got the e-COPR in my mycic account for all of us. I think, however, that they are not sure if my dependents are inside or not as they have asked me to submit photos inside Canada. I have emailed them to ask. I am now unable to feel fully happy about the copr...
