Any new information on the latest announced travel restrictions please post here

Not sure if this is the right forum but one of my family members(PR) had to travel back home in January as their mother passed away. They would be returning back to Canada next week(after the new rules take effect on 22 Feb). I was wondering if this case would fall under H&C grounds and if they...

    Passport application during Covid-19 pandemic

Just wanted to let you know that I had applied for a passport application on March 16th(2 days before it was shut down due to COVID-19) and I received my passport in the mail today. Looks like they have started processing applications that were already submitted and may begin reopening very soon.

    Passport application during Covid-19 pandemic

Yes, many people have asked them(Passport Canada) precisely on Twitter. But they give a standard response along the lines of "all passport services, including mail-in service, are suspended until further notice. Please wait until services resume before submitting your passport application."...

    Passport application during Covid-19 pandemic

Passport Canada has suspended its services until further notice. However, if you have a valid reason to travel urgently, limited urgent passport services are available. Urgent travel reasons include if you’re travelling for a medical reason because you have a serious illness because of the...

Kitchener local office after Bill C6

From what I read, they did email everyone who were scheduled for one. If you weren't scheduled for one yet, then they wouldn't send you an email.

    November 2018 - Citizenship Applications

I think you can call the IRCC call center to check if they have any updates on your file. Alternatively, you could also order GCMS notes to see how your file is doing(https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-to-order-gcms-notes-step-by-step-process.513893/). I...

    November 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Hey sorry, but Kitchener office is extremely slow! Looks like they are having tests for March 2018 applicants right now and one guy who had his test yesterday said that the officers in the interview told him that the oath ceremony might take another 4 months since there are no citizenship judges...

That is most likely only if their PR card renewal application was sent around the same time as their citizenship application, right?

    November 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Not sure about Mississauga or Scarborough but Kitchener office is most likely working on giving out invites to March 2018 applicants right now. That being said, there was someone from Waterloo who applied in October 2018 and has a test invite too. So looks like things are picking up with the...
