Cold/Flu don`t count as chronic disease. As long as you don`t have fever, I don`t think that will hamper your test but be sure there`s no wheezing sound in your chest due to flu. They might take that other way. If any doubt then you can just postpone by a week to be in a safe side. You need to disclose the medication you are taking while filling out a medical history questionnaire with doctor.
This was very helpful, thanks

Hello everyone, I got a question.

Yesterday I got both THE EMAIL and re-med request. In the "Do you still want to" email, it said: "We will send you the necessary medical form(s). Once we have sent you the forms, you will have 30 days to do your medical, advise us by email that it has been done, and provide any requested documents. "

I replied to it immediately, got ready to do re-med tomorrow. So when I complete my re-med, Should I send a new email to the IRCC(the reply address in the mail) to inform them or reply to the mail again with my medical result?

So as per the email, it specifically asked me to not do the medical exam until they send the forms.
I just replied to this email based on the template provided, my status changed on the IRCC portal and now I am awaiting the medical exam request email.
So if you already have the forms then go ahead and do it but if your email has the following message anywhere, I'd say you have to wait for their other email and just reply to this one with the given template.

Let's see what others have to say too.

The message I got:
Important: Do not do an up-front medical examination.
Completing a new medical examination before IRCC asks you to will delay processing, and may lead to you spending more money to do a new one later on.

Even I was in a similar dilemma since few weeks. I received the medical forms yesterday, almost two months after responding to the ultimatum email . Medical form comes with an unique IME number and barcode. It will be scanned at the doctors office so wait for IRCC to send the forms. Meanwhile you can either email or call them, if that would make you feel better.

Hi Guys, I have a couple of queries.

1)After we land. at the immigration point. do we have to provide all the original documents that we uploaded to IRCC?
2) Should we share the updated bank statement as proof of funds? or the statement that was uploaded almost a couple of years ago would suffice?

Thanks.

Hi everyone, is there any pre March left to be contacted? I was contacted last December and was unable to go, however I have not heard anything since. Is anyone in a similar boat? Thanks!

Hi, I am planning to travel to Canada from India by November, does anyone know if Rapid-PCR test done at Delhi aiport is allowed by Air India or is it mandatory to take RT-PCR test only.
