Hello, I guess I'm not explanatory enough. A lawyer submitted an application on my behalf and I requested to see the application that was submitted by the lawyer and the cover letter of the application stated below " We are writing to you on behalf of my name to her immigration matters, Mrs. my name would like to apply for PR under H&C. Within 120days we will provide a detailed submission together with additional documents. In support of her application, please find enclosed the following: all the forms and documents that I sent to the lawyer. My question is is this how the application works"
Is this firm a law firm or immigration consultant? Check that first. Then yes, some representatives/counsels send in your supporting documents and application form to ircc first and send submissions later but you have to be on them because they might forget or delay. Then make sure by the time they are sending the submission/arguments , you have other new evidences/ supporting documents sent along with the supplementary submission. Best of luck
Thank you for your response. It's a law firm. How will I know when my application is received? What other new evidences would you suggest please? I have been in Canada for 5 years, I schooled in Canada, I'm a Registered Nurse and work at the hospital. I have a 2 years old child, was born in Canada. My husband is inadmissible because of misinterpretation, he has never been to Canada. I got a letter from my work place, they are willing to sponsor my LMIA but I haven't need it yet. Please advise

You have to ask from your lawyer acknowledgment of receipt with your UCI and application number. Then you can track status with those numbers via IRCC website.

additional evidences depend on case by case. Anything that strengthens your ties to Canada and best interest of your child would be helpful: hardship back home for you and the child, any other family ties to Canada, investments in Canada (house etc.), how much tax-bearing income you can generate, how you help community (volunteering, letters from pastors/imams etc.)etc.

Hello Katayoon, thank you for your response. Yes, I already submitted most of the above mentioned to the lawyer. I'm planning to buy a house soon, hopefully I can send it as supporting documents. Thank you
