I keep kicking myself for not starting this journey in 2017, I’d have been tucked away in Ontario by now Dammit!!
I guess there are a lot of folks like you. I kept receiving ITA's from 2018 but declined several times as I was not sure if I need to move to Canada soon. Then, when I badly needed it, I did not get invited due to a pause in the darws. Then, came 2020 draws and now I am stuck. But it's better than nothing.

Election is good news for immigration imo. Let's see what happens in the next month or two.
How? There is literally no immigration plan in the Liberal agenda. Conservatives had a decent one. More importantly, they actually had one, regardless of good or bad. Not that I like the conservatives, but they were remarkably moderate this time around on social issues as well.

I fail to see any reason why this was good news for immigration, more specifically skilled immigration wrt outland people, which is the concern for the majority of people on this particular forum.

From Cicnews' latest article:

"The next major event to watch is the announcement of the 2022-2024 Immigration Levels Plan. The levels plan guides IRCC’s immigrant admissions targets, the number of immigrants that will be targeted under each admissions class (economic, family, refugee, and humanitarian), and allocations for each province and territory. This announcement should occur in the first quarter of next year, and by March 2022 at the latest. Next year’s announcement should be standard, with the Liberals very likely to remain committed to their plan to increasing immigration beyond 400,000 newcomers each year.

Around that time we should also see the government table Budget 2022. This will outline the Canadian government’s economic and fiscal outlook. The budget announcement sometimes contains new immigration policies, programs, and projects the government aims to pursue. For instance, Budget 2021 stated the government intends to invest almost $430 million to upgrade its IT infrastructure so it can improve the way it processes immigration applications.

Gradually throughout 2022, we should see the new Liberal government begin to settle in and roll out new immigration policies and programs."

Early 2022 may shed more light on the fate of FSW.

for his own selfish interest, He has successfully wasted $600m. Gambled for a Majority because of his perceived good handling of the pandemic but failed. Why will you call a snap election and still end up get a Minority. Is that not a waste of resources? What is there to celeberate by the Liberals? They will still need the NDP and some CON to enact any bill in the Parlliament..... Anyways, I just hope the IRCC will get back to work now at least the election is over and Pandemic in Canada is well Handled by the Liberals except CON controlled Alberta

what do you mean? IRCC is working extremely hard processing CECs, PGPs, IECs, tourist visas etc. They are a led by a talented, charismatic coffee-man, and will continue to deliver results!

I believe they will be done sending renewed COPRs by the end of October, we can expect new PPRs to be issued only after that date. I know it's a contrived milestone but since the elections are over, I couldn't think of any forced date to look forward to.

Well, several post March expired CoPR holders are reporting getting the mail now. Let’s hope other outland categories pick up pace soon
Hopefully they will move on to target backlog once they finish the expired group. Wasting 6 months on 23k expired, imagine how long it will take to clear 30-50k backloggers.

Ah you are so lucky, my birthday was yesterday, went from 504 to 499. Happy birthday to me, I’m not too stressed tho, I’m about to complete my masters and if I’m in a hurry I can max out my IELTS and get an extra 3 points to get back over 500 but yea. If only we knew earlier. I have terrible friends LOL
Followed your story from NL's TEF thread back then (I can see that you're "sweet" over there, but some "badgirl" here :D). Ne vous inquiétez pas, sûrement, your 499 will fetch you ITA at the first FSW.

Just laughing quite hard at your last sentence. Based on personal experience, I have a very close pal, based in the same city that I visit his family with mine at least once in every 3weeks. Dude was into this process and kept it away from me. Only called me to break the news that they would be relocating after receiving PPR..

He explained what the process is all about though afterwards and I started, albeit a lot late. Haha..

That's great pts. But now 500+ doesn't even mean anything without draws.

Lmao! You’d make quite the detective. Vous m’avez trouvé, c’est vrai lol. I don’t know why Nigerians are like this tho, my friend did the exact same thing. Told me about the process only after she got ITA and this is after I’d mentioned to her in passing that I’d want to relocate and she tried to dissuade me. Had the nerve to lie and say it was a last minute decision. As long as this process is ? Last minute. Karma got her tho cos she did a whole farewell tour last Christmas after getting ITA and thought she’d be leaving in a few months. Look at both of us now stuck waiting for IRCC like a bunch of fools hehehehee!

With more liberal going on there's no fate of FSW. They'll simply replace it with some truck driver program.
