This is an official response to a news editor called Shelby Thevenot. IRCC says they've contacted all pre Marc 18 2020 expired COPR holders. Furthermore they say, they'll contact the rest of COPR holders (the ones who got it after March 18 2020) until the end of October 2021.

I want to believe incompetent IRCC hasn't allocated all of its FSW officers for this because if they did, there will be no new COPRs before November, and people who've been waiting for 2 years with approved files will continue waiting.

I'm not saying they did it, I'm just speculating like everyone else so take this response however you like.
But people have been getting their first ppr request since last week

As I said I'm just speculating on that official response. I'm hoping that they're not stupid enough to allocate all FSW officers for expired COPR holders. We'll see if that's the case in the coming days.

Also IRRC also has contacted a lot of people who got approval past March 18 2020 :) sooo... There is nothing to worry about guys. I am pretty sure they ahve a plan in place for everything as of now. Maybe I sound too optimistic, so far I am right ahahha.

People posted this here a few days ago. I wouldn't give much weight to this.

Yeah, that's the most interesting part of all this for me. Up to now, one of the reasons that could have been for not issuing CoPRs was that the borders weren't properly open. But once they are, what will the excuse be then?
Elections, maybe?

Were processing of applications or Conducting of draws ever halted during elections in the history of EE? Just curious as I don’t understand the possible link between both. LegalFalcon has said that immigration activities wouldn’t be interrupted during elections

Looking at your concreteness towards the upcoming draws, are you sure, you are an applicant? You sound like someone who knows something concrete.

Okay I'll try to put myself in an IRCC officer's shoes for a moment. Let me think an excuse...

  1. Oh sorry FSW people we haven't been finalizing your applications for 2 years, but we have an Afghan refugee crises. I know the airport is closed in Afghanistan and we actually have approximately 1000 people there to rescue while IRCC's monthly processing capacity is 40.000, but I bet you'll still swallow this as a good excuse for another good 6 months.
  2. Oh sorry FSW people.. we were really gonna process your files but... guess what? All these CEC people whom we issued ITAs for 75 CRS score which is god knows how is even possible to get this low of a score for a breating human being have filled our annual immigration quotas. Sorry.. good luck in 2022.
  3. Oh sorry FSW people.. we have an election now. I know we're making you wait for no reason since late 2019 but, aahm.... you know.. we are thinking about changing the express entry system and the new government will probably want to work on it. So we're terribly sorry but there will be no processing for you in the coming months until we update the system.
  4. Oh sorry FSW people there is a new covid-19 variant called IAMTHEMOSTINCOMPETENT.IMMIGRATIONDEPARTMENT.INTHEWORLD appeared so according to "best medical advice" *laughs intensively* we have to keep the travel restrictions for immigrants and tourists in place. Though if you're paying thousands of dollars for a freaking language course you're free to come. Covid doesn't touch rich people.
*returns to normal world* oh my god... guys it's terrible... I just imagined myself working for IRCC and out of a sudden I was able to write all these believable bullshit in a minute.

People who have submitted their applications and are still pending are now receiving mails to do medicals since their previous once have expired. It shows that there are not going to cancel any pending applications. One thing I notice here is there is too much negativity
Cancelling applications shouldn’t even be a topic to be discussed about even if the Conservatives win they won’t do that. They even have a plan for premium processing. Guys this should not be a topic to be worried about. Am 200% sure none of that would happen

He's a disciple of Mark Holthe ;)
Guys come on, I am not... I am just trying to take a look at this with a cool head without trying to force and create some magnificent predictions based on nothing. I strongly believe there will be FSW in the next 2/4 weeks maximum. I can be wrong, but this is what I am counting for at the moment. Everything at the end is tied down to border restrictions, period. Why the hell are you still trying to figure out some bullshit stories and explanations why the whole thing is happening. We already know, I am done for now ahahahha :D I will be back in few days. See you guys...

It looks like people are trying to force themselves to look for some sort of news that they can focus on it etc. We have hard facts already, we do not need more lol :) see you guys
