Study Permit Challenges for Nigerian Applicants

Hi,

When a study visa is approved and issued does it clearly state when the student is expected to be in Canada? I am 17 years old turning 18 in January, based on all the Covid protocols I would prefer to take my vaccines in Nigerian and arrive in Canada fully vaccinated. Do you think the student visa will give me that level of flexibility? I am studying a 4 year programme but my first year of studies will end in December 2021.

Many thanks!

Please how does someone get back reference number given after biometrics if misplaced? Submitted my passport without it and I had to pay 7450 for package transmission fee, I just realised I need the reference number to track my passport.

And I also paid DHL for delivery to and fro, please anybody with an idea on how to get the reference back?

I assume you are taking online classes. It doesn't really matter provided you have proof of enrolment when you are ready to arrive to Canada and when you can continue with in class sessions. Keep in line increase in delta variant, anything can happen with our border. make wise decision

No one knows what is causing delay... you can raise webform to inquire about your application status

Greetings!

If you are interested in hearing the truth, and still ready to proceed despite the challenges, you are welcome here. If you want to be pampered, please go elsewhere.

I am here offer advise to anyone who is Nigerian and needs assistance in navigating the dangerous waters of Canadian study permit application. Identify what the problem might be and how to possibly over come them.

It would be better to come here before you apply, rather than after you have applied, it might be too late to assist you then. Also, never rush to put in an application, if you are rejected once, your chances of being rejected a second time increases by about 60-70%.

Looking forward to assisting anyone with question here.

You are welcome.

Cheers
Good afternoon, Please,I need your responses to my enquires below.

*Is it advisable to access Bank loan to show as a proof of fund to study in Canada?

*I want to study a PGD, a two years program. If I should pay the tuition fee for 1 year and show a proof of fund for the 2nd year payment, will this be enough to convince the Visa Officer?

*I am married with kids, including my Marriage certificate along with pictures in my Application, will this be sufficient as a tie to Nigeria,a proof that one will becoming back after study?

I will appreciate if you can give me your WhatsApp number for a chat.
Thank you.

I disagree with her mom paying the school fees unless he establishes tha it is refundable. I experienced that first hand in 2016 when I paid a one year tuition fee and had my visa denied I lost all the money and still have to pay another acceptance fee the following year before repackaging the application.
That's serious o,even after paying 1 year tuition fee,you were still rejected?

Hello Brian,

I am really sorry to hear about your current predicament. I hate it when the Canadian embassy does that. In my experience, when it takes this long for them to get back to you, it is not a good sign, please prepare your mind. But God can still do it for you. It is possible that your application did not demonstrate a strong intention to return to Nigeria upon completion of your studies, it could also be that your friend has a strong travel history and you don't have one, it could also be that they feel your sponsor's finances are not strong enough. It could be anything honestly.

So keep hoping for the best and let me what the outcome is when you eventually get it.

All the best.

Cheers

Hello everyone,
I got 3 notifications at the same time on my process few minutes ago
One was a medical request letter, then biometric validation letter and then a refusal letter (respectively)

After my biometric appointment in April I got an email stating I was eligible for Nigerian student express that I should submit IELTS results and prove of funds, but they also stated that if they don’t get a reply from me from a specific date(can’t exactly recall)
They’ll use the regular channel for me, and I asked in this forum and some other people
And they said it was optional to reply.... so I didn’t.

My refusal letter states that I’m being refused because I have failed to comply to the submission of those documents (IELTS and prove of funds)

Please does anyone know what I should do next or is anyone having a similar issue

Please help me!!!!
It’ll be really appreciated
