ok thanks. I have my old TRV (the initial one that came with my study permit). can't I use that if I want to travel (since it is still valid)?

Did you apply for the PGWP in Canada (then leave) or outside Canada? When did you graduate? Your TRV is attached to your study permit and it doesn’t matter that it hasn’t “expired” yet. It expires after you graduate and when you get the PGWP.

That’s awesome bro. I think you’re good to go. Honestly I haven’t seen a case where someone was refused because of unauthorized work. Almost all the refusal reasons pertain to not being full time students. In your case, there’s no need to worry. You’ll get surely get your PGWP. All the best bro.
Hi, i have a question. I applied for pgwp and didn't see a specified column to upload my study permit and i ended up not uploading it. However, some people said that i was supposed to. Do you know if i needed to? And if yes, what can i do now

Honestly, I can't remember if I did - I just logged into my cic account now to check but couldn't retrieve the document upload page. But I uploaded my passport and all data page. What I'll say is if you find out you need to - pls submit it asap as your application may be refused! - especially if they need info from it (never assume they have your info. I can joke with me meal not with cic).
I think you can use the webform to communicate with cic after an application. Can also call them for direction.

Good luck

Hi, just checked and there's no place to upload, except you can do it in client info section.
That's what I did.

Technically IRCC asked for the latest study permit# in the forms, so they can use that too.

Hi Bro, sorry for the late response. You can work as you’re on implied status. Don’t worry about your “illegal work”. You may choose or otherwise disclose it and write LOA. As I previously mentioned, IRCC don’t have access to your work history as they don’t have access to our SIN. They sometimes check SIN against CRA data for PR and citizen application but that’s even rare because of the privacy act. So bro, just chill and stressless. Good luck
Hello,
I will be applying for my pr through cec.
I made the same mistake as op and worked illegally for 14 days and then applied for my pgwp- I didn’t declare that I worked illegally but got the pgwp anyway. Now that I will be applying for PR should I disclose that I worked illegally for 14 days? I will not be claiming that experience as it was a noc-c job. But still do you think that I should be disclosing it?

Thanks @ captainarabiia. My PGWP application was approved!
@philus, congrats for getting your PGWP. Did u end up writing an LOE (we form) to explain your situation or not. What exactly do u mention as a reason for violating the law?

The second question is, now that you received your PGWP, what happens when u looking to renew your TRV, do u always disclose your unauthorized work, mention that yes u did unauthorized work and add LoE or not? All responses are appeciated.

@LIAmour. Yes, I wrote an LOE explaining I didn't realize I had to stop working and apologized - and did mention I stop having realized I must stop working. I also explain other circumstances such as my need to renew my passport which was expiring (hence the hesitation about applying for a PGWP right away, given it won't go beyond my 'soon to expire passport' date. Also mentioned I had to travel to another province to get this renewed but due to covid that wasn't really possible. Well, according to my uni, I was told it is hard to refuse based on that, so I guess that's true. I haven't applied for a TRV yet, only applied for an extension now that I have my passport renewed/extended. I had to explain the same thing again in the letter. Still waiting for this to be returned.

Can someone advise me here?
I started my master program in Fall 2021 and took a one leave of absence for winter 2022 semester. The date range that is mentioned on LOA approval letter is 1 Jan to 31 April. I checked University Calendar and found that lecture begins on 6th Jan for Winter 2022 semester and ends on April 15 so I worked few hours on 3rd Jan and some hours on 29th April. Now that I am approaching graduation, I am worried that it might impact my eligibility for PGWP. Can someone share their opinion on it. I will highly appreciate it.
