Normally 6 months but sometime IRCC asked validity for 12 months also. So on a safer side it's better to apply for renewal.

I am happy for those whose parents became PR. Most discussions now centered around now PR cards and process further , is there any one waiting like me for medicals and whose application not turned into in progress . I am feeling concerned and lonely at this stage.

My dad worked with police force, so he needs to fill Military Form (IMM 5546). During his tenure with police he worked in different states of the country. Do we need to mention each and every state location or we can just mention his start and end date of his police career with his base location (one line):

The form requires following information:

Start Date:
End Date:
Conscript or volunteer service:
Your Rank
Your Title
Your Duties
Name of Commanding Officer
Name of your unit
Your Location
No. of people supervised

So can we just mention his whole police career in one line, or do we need to give all the details of the locations where he worked under one job?

We had to fill similar form, we filled up every location as continuity in dates is important. Maybe add an extra form/ extra typed sheet, if more space is needed.

For those who applied for PGP 2019 and have parents who reside in HK- have you heard back from IRCC regarding priority processing? I am supposed to hear back from IRCC regarding "Priority process from HK" by Feb 26 (indicated in https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1527&top=4 ) but no word from them yet.
