Study permit approved, but am I allowed to defer after approval?

I received my OPR last night and needed to send my passport for stamping.
I applied for winter intake, but now planning to defer to May 2021. If I defer after approval, would I still get my TRV stamped in my passport for May intake.

Does TRV has a validity and for how long within which I can travel to Canada?

Experts, please share your thoughts.

Yes you will get the visa stamped with timeline if revised LOA. I did this and i got the visa stamped as per the new timeline.

Hey, I am in the same situation for March intake. I want to defer to May.

If my studies start in May, can I come to Canada in middle of March or would that be too early for a visa officer if I'm telling him I want to get settled down and have as much time as possible to prepare myself, buy a new laptop etc
