Hi everyone !!

1) Due to drastic fluctuation of forex rate in Pakistan, i have opened dollar account in bank now depositing funds in it. what you suggest, is it ok to do so. ?????

I will surely apply after 3 month with the hope that their score will be dropped to 66 as its the same i have right now :).

2) I owned a car and have valid documented proof as well, will this be counted inb POF ??

Hi Friends,

I received my ITA through SINP this morning. I am a little confused with the POF. I have a family of 3 and the funds required are approx CAD 20,000. I have these funds with me but in different form.

For example: Last month I had approx. CAD 7,000 in one bank account, CAD 5,500 in another bank account (both the accounts are joint saving accounts with my spouse) and the remaining in shape of Bonds and Insurance Policies. In order to maintain this as one single amount, I started depositing the CAD 5,500 from my another account to the account which had CAD 7,000 and I completed it 2 days ago. Now my account has approx CAD 12,500 deposited in it and the rest CAD 7,500 are in shape of bonds and insurance policies.

Would this work out in my case as SINP needs proof funds 3 months prior to the application submitted. I still have 60 days to submit my application. Please help.

Thanks.

What do they mean by
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)
I am an employee and I will get an amount after I quit or retired from my position in the institution . And it is calculated as a limited amount each month I deserve in case of quitting as a saving plan. How can I proof that? If I only have my salary slips and my company won't give me a document for this retirement saving plan amount!?

My cousin has created EOI for SINP and express entry profile one year ago, now she received ITA from SINP and she deposited require amount after creating EOI, she is maintaining require balance for 10 months is it ok or not

I read the SINP page that shown “Your funds must be maintained at least 3 months prior to your application submission”. We are confused….. the application means EOI or application means, we would submit the application after received ITA?

Waiting for reply

You need to prove maintaining required funds 3 months prior your SINP submission.
Meaning the moment you click submit application in your SINP profile you should have already met 3 months requirement. For EE is another story.

If your SINP profile is nominated you receive your 600 points nomination in your EE account once you click accept nomination, then you initially get 90 days to finish your application once again the day you submit your EE application there should be 6 months proof of maintaining required funds.

And last i think you will be asked one more time for proof of fund thats at a port of entry in Canada.

Just to clarify, you are applying as single since POF is $13,310 for one person.

These are accepted POF:

The following funds will be accepted:

  • Personal chequing or savings accounts
  • Bonds
  • Cash value life insurance
  • Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GICs) or Certificates of Deposit
  • Mutual Funds
  • Provident Funds (an official letter from the provident fund organization indicating the amount of funds that are accessible is required)
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)
  • Stocks
  • Tax Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs)
  • Term deposits and time deposits (must be valid at the time of application and remain valid throughout the entire application process)
  • Treasury Bills
Debentures, credit cards, lines of credit, gold, cash, property or businesses are not accepted as settlement funds.

Dear one clarification. Its mentioned GIC certificate which basically for students and bank issue GIC certificate to student only i guess upon the letter of acceptance.

Now my question as you aware my history of study visa refusals, i have valid LOA so i can arrange GIC in my opinion but 90 days maturity also applicable on GIC or just on bank statements?

So you are single and not married? The list is from the link on the SINP site. It states that funds must have been maintained over the past 3 months. Would assume that is for both but ask SINP for clarification.

You can’t apply alone. You must include POF for 4 people even if non accompanying. If you are applying as single that would be misrepresentation as you must include family members in your application (must undergo medicals). Your POF is $24k.

Again on the SINP site.

7. Settlement Funds
You must submit proof that you have funds that will support your household during your employment search after you arrive. The minimum amount required for your application is based on the size of your family.

Think the POF is really only specified for Quebec. Could be wrong. 24k is probably in the low end and depending on where you want to live a higher amount may be required.
Question was to EE-SINP nominee and SINP follows POF for EE. The link is on the SINP site for Settlement Funds.
