Hi

I would like to apply super visa for my parents, however, could not find the super visa option on the CIC website.

The drop down menu on CIC website "What would you like to do in Canada?" do not have a super visa option. Can you please guide where and how to apply.

Thanks

I googled "CIC super Visa" and I was able to see this link as the first option.

Thanks alot for your reply. It does specifies the requirements however within the CIC website eligibility questions, I cant find an option to apply for this visa. I am probably doing some thing wrong but cant seem to find the answer in the mentioned website.

Very respectfully, I should not have to spoon-feed you but I will give you the benefit of doubt - Not everyone is comfortable with technology.

1. Visit the link in my previous post
2. Click on 'Apply for a super visa'. Understand who can apply for a super visa.
3. Click on 'Next : Who can apply'. Read the contents of the page and ensure you are eligible.
4. Click on 'Next: How to apply'. Read the contents of the page and make sure you understand them.
5. There is a drop-down towards the bottom of the page that reads "How do you want to apply"
6. Click that and you'll see an option to apply online or on paper. Choose whichever option you want. I would recommend applying online if you are comfortable because you can simple upload documents and you do not have to mail them anywhere.
7. If you choose 'Apply Online', you'll see a button that reads 'Apply for Super Visa'.

Click that and then follow the instructions from there - Everything you need to know would be displayed as you proceed further.

Good luck.

Thanks alot for the detailed guidance. I had earlier gone through it.

Once I choose, apply Online, it take me to this page https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp (this page seems relevant for TRVs).

So does that mean there is no separate application for super visa and I will have to apply a TRV to get super visa? And if that is the case, where do I upload the sponsor's financial document, insurance for parents within the application (because TRV do not require these documents).

Thanks

You will have to click on 'Apply online for a visa' again and to login / create a new GCkey login or use a sign-in partner. You will then fill out information requested there, upload documents and then proceed further to make the payment online. I'm not sure what more I can do to help you beyond this. To clarify, a super visa is a TRV (the applicant will have a temporary resident status in Canada once they arrive here).

If you have having too much trouble finding information and/or applying for it yourself, I would suggest you hire a consultant / lawyer to do it for you.

You are probably choosing the wrong relationship. You have to choose Child/Grandchild. You are probably choosing parent

You don't have to be so rude. He's probably choosing relation from the wrong POV which has happened with a lot of people and the forum is full of it. I am super comfortable with technology (a developer) but still ran into this problem.

I don't think I was rude and there is no problem if someone has an issue with technology. Rude would be to call names on a public forum like this. Instead, I walked him through the details of the page - I was following the steps myself and I ended up on the page where I just had to sign-in using gckey / partner login. I personally did not have any confusion here but there's no harm if one does. I did try my best to help the OP.

I don't understand which part of my post you consider "rude".

You take one word out of my entire post and then you unnecessarily blow it up like a balloon ignoring everything else in that post. In my tenure in this forum for over half a decade, this is not the first time I've seen this happen nor will this be the last. I'm not surprised.

Moving on. Good luck!

Yes, the solution provided by dejavu worked for me.

”You are probably choosing the wrong relationship. You have to choose Child/Grandchild. You are probably choosing parent”

Hi, i am in canada a PR and wanting to apply for super visa for my mother. I have created an account and uploaded most of the documents. Just now while reading on the cic website i saw that it says ”you have to apply for super visa from outside canada”. So my question is can i apply for my mother’s super visa myself from cic account i created for my mom from within Canada, or do i need to hire a representative in India amd get the, to submit the file?
