How do I check if the sponsor approval?
I (Sponsor) got this email
"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence
(APR) for your relative will be processed separately and they will be contacted shortly."

and in ECAS status also under Sponsor it says "Decision Made" and under Principal applicant it says 'In progress"

Hi nitindelhi04,
All my steps are also complete [OWP, medical, sponsor approval, etc; application filed March2019 inland spousal] except the background check is still going on. Now the next step will be me receiving an email to upload photos and may be interview before they issue COPR? or they will directly send the COPR before asking me anything? If they ask for pics, etc. for COPR, how much time they will give me? Thanks
Only send 1 photo with Document(Permanent Confirmation Document )and address proof if any changes to IRCC office which is mentioned on letter.

Good day
My wife (the sponsor) got sponsor approval last on Wednesday last week,we got this letter today,is it a bad or good news? We applied dec 2019 and haven’t has any requests for additional documents or any issues (apart from biometrics ) so far,we just a bit worried.

Dear
This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
Please be advised that your application has been transferred to a Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office in ST-JOHN'S for further assessment. The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office may contact you for an interview or to seek additional information or clarification. That office will make a final decision on your APR and communicate to you its decision.
Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding your application, you may contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office in writing as follows:

Unfortunately file transfer to local office without AIP is not good news. From reading other peoples posts, it usually means that they have concerns with the application like if the relationship is genuine or if the applicant is admissible. Our file was recently transferred to Etobicoke a month after we got SA. Did you have any red flags? Wish you the best.

Hmm yea those don’t really sound like red flags to me either. Especially since it was such a long time ago. I pray you hear good news soon and don’t experience too many delays.

Where did you notice the change? GCKey or Ecas?

To vaisnavgowni On the website you click on online tools & than it asks you for your info UCI etc name date & birth & country than it logs you in & you can see updates without details from the letter. It was saying for months in process & Application received December 20, 2019 & today changed to application received with no updates in the comments.

That's ECAS.

Have you logged onto GCKey account? What does "Review of eligibility" says on GCKey? (Ex: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.)

I would also recommend checking ECAS again. Status might have changed to "Decision Made" or "In Process" again.

If no luck, please contact IRCC in the morning (to avoid long wait times).
