Hi,
I just got this email from IRCC. I have just replied IRCC email giving them my names, UCI, email, date of last time entered in Canada and Location (Port of Entry) as per "WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NEXT" at the bottom of the email:

"We are at the end of the process for your application for permanent residence in Canada. Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, IRCC has had to stop in-person services to protect the health and safety of clients and employees. The Department has come up with innovative ways to conduct business. Confirming permanent residence (PR) status without an in-person interview through a new and secure PR Confirmation Portal is one of these new improvements we are happy to offer you.

Through the PR Confirmation Portal:

· You will confirm you currently live in Canada

· You will provide your current address in Canada (we’ll send your permanent resident card in the mail to this address)

· You will submit a recent photo (JPEG or PNG formats are accepted) which we’ll use to print your PR card

· IRCC will upload your document that proves your new PR status you will be able to use this document while you wait for your first PR card that will come to you in the mail

Important notes:
· Clients will have to access the portal themselves. If you’re a representative, please forward this email to the clients you represented for their PR application until they were approved.
  • IRCC will keep improving on this tool, but for now the portal only allows one profile per person. Regardless of their age, each member of your family (i.e. including your dependants) must have their own profile.
  • You and every dependant included in your application will need their own unique email address (e.g. gmail, hotmail, etc.) for us to create an account in the PR Confirmation Portal.
Let us know:

You must inform us right away via the IRCC webform of any of these changes:

· marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation

· death of

o the sponsor

o the principal applicant or

o any accompanying family member

· birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children

· you (the principal applicant) or any of your family members have been charged or convicted of a criminal offence

What you need to do next:

Reply to this email (IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca) and give us your personal email address and email addresses for every dependant included in your application. Please use this format, one client per line: Names, UCI, email, date of last time entered in Canada and the location(Port of Entry) - verify your passport for the date and location.

If you can’t access online tools such as the portal due to accessibility issues or special needs, contact us by replying to this message: IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca.

If you currently live outside Canada, contact us by replying to this message: IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca.
we got the email in the morning, and we immediately replied in the morning, by 4pm we got the username and already uploaded the pictures.

Interesting!
Congratulations to you. I got AIP, SP and DM 2weeks ago, November 20th. Yesterday my messages came at almost 4 pm their closing hour so I replied at past 4 pm. Hopefully I get my Username and password today.
This IRCC innovation portal process seem to ease up things instead of shipping the hardcopy passport photo to them.
I'll get through it when I receive my username and password base on IRCC instructions.

Good news! We are ready to finalize your status as a permanent resident in Canada.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, and limited capacity for in-person services in our office, IRCC has developed a Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal and created an account in your name that you can use to:
  • confirm that you are currently residing in Canada and confirm the address where you live. Your permanent resident card will be sent in the mail to this address.
  • upload a photo in a digital format (JPEG or PNG; both formats will be accepted), or you can also take a photo with your mobile device.
Step 1: Sign in to your account
To sign in, use the following information:
  • Username: XXXXX
  • Temporary password: XXXXXXX
    • Notice: This is a temporary password that will expire in 14 days. After you sign in, you will need to change the password. You will then need to log into the portal again using your new password.
  • Click this link to sign in to the Permanent Resident Confirmation Portal: XXXXXXXX
Step 2: Confirm that you are currently in Canada and upload a photo within the next 14 days
Once you submit your information, it will be reviewed by IRCC.
  • If further information is needed, a message will be sent to you through this email address:XXXXXXXXX

This IRCC Portal system, seem like it's going to quicken the PR card readiness and dispatch to PR applicants.

Hey I didn’t use the camera function cause who knows how good the photo would be, so we went to shoppers drugmart and took a digital picture. Didn’t want any delay. It says in the portal once you submit the photo and confirm you are in Canada(by just clicking) they said they ll get the pr card in 5 days

You're right about the photo. I will go to Staples to take a digital photo. Did you mean after submitting the photo and confirming that you're in Canada, that they will get the PR card ready in 5 days? That would be super exciting!

PS. I just got my second email @8:30 am demanding the upload of my photos and to confirm that I still reside in Canada.

No there's no list, I was just expressing my happiness, that I'm among the number of persons in this forum that finished this stage. We are now waiting for COPR and PR card.

Thank you so much
