Could you please share your thoughts on my below queries.
I had received my COPR in May 2019. However, there was change in marital status before landing in Canada and so I had submitted my passport to Immigration office (New Delhi). They've put on my COPR a stamping "Cancelled without prejudice" on my current passport. Since then my application along with my spouse application is under processing by IRCC. Now my passport is due for expiry in November 2021.
1. Can I go ahead for renewal of my passport now when my PR application is under processing?
2. My current passport has COPR stamping with a note (Cancelled without prejudice). The new passport issued for renewal will not have any details of these. Will this impact my PR processing ?
3. Will the old passport be asked any time during the PR processing?
4. Is it good to go with submission of my new passport (renewed one) to IRCC when my PR processing is complete?
5. If I go with my current passport (expires on Nov 10th 2021) upon completion of my PR processing and issuance of COPR minimum of how many months my passport should have validity when I land in Canada?
