Sponsor Income 2020 Parents

Hello Guys,

I just needed the help because I was confused. In the income required for the sponsor for the parents based on the link below

Income required for the 3 tax years right before the day you apply (sponsors applying in 2021)

If more than 7 people, for each additional person, add:	$7,121	$8,876	$8,740

On the First line Those 2 people is your parents right?

and the annual income stated for 2020, 2019, 2018, is that for you only? or including your co signer?

Number of family memeber to calculate income requirement include your current family + your parents' family that you planned to sponsor.

So 2 is the minimum assuming that it's one person that's single and sponsoring 1 parent whose widowed or divoiced or never married.

If you are single and planning to sponsor both of your parents, you family size to calculate income is 3. If you have a spouse (who can be a co-signer or not), then family size to calculate is 4.

The income is combined of yours and your co-signer (if you have a co-signer) on NOA line 150.

In my case, for example I want to sponsor my mom and dad and my annual income is around 50K always in the past 4 years.
and my wife is earning the same as well.

In order for me to sponsor my mom and dad, I need my wife to be a co-singner?
which falls on the line of 4 People on the table.

Looks like you do need your wife to be a co-signer.

Have a good discussion with her, it's a commitment for 20 years. (for both of you)

Good evening All,

I have received the invitation today and honestly i wasn't expecting it to come. I applied for it last year as my friend was applying for his parents. I know its late but i have a questions in terms of income requirement. For the year 2018 my income was $66k and i have a family of four. Since i will be applying for my parents visa do i need to consider them in my 2018 income as well which will make my family to 6 or should i only consider them for the 2020 income as i am applying for them in 2021. The only reason i am asking this question is because if i consider my parents in 2018 then i donot meet the income requirement however my income was high in 2019 and 2020 ? what are your thoughts .. do you think it is worth applying as CIC may show some flexibility ?
