How does this tracker work please ? Are individuals registering themselves and keep updating the infos there in order to share the progress with everyone or what exactly ?
Yes, that is correct. You create an account and add your case and keep updating it as your application moves further.

Hi Everyone,
I received a request to submit my biometric but I have done so not a long time ago when I applied for a Visa. They even have my old biometric number in my applicant information box with its expiry date.

Is this something common that they request biometrics again for the immigration file?

Hi friends
I am new to this forum
My aor is 15 March and still no update. I found that canada is currently only considering inland cases (for sending biometrics letters, express Entry draws, ppr letters and submitted profiles) so I thought it would help if we could tweet at the same time, to indicate our dissatisfaction of this discrimination about outland applicants. Our life has been affected by this holding.

what is your oppinion?

I am CEC Inland, March 20 AOR and I haven’t gotten any update since I applied. This whole issue isn’t affecting only Outland applicants. Y’all should understand the pandemic is causing delays everywhere. Let’s all just be patient.

Hi
Don't get disheartened. Till yesterday I was pacing back n forth like u. But I received BIL and got through medicals. AOR 31 MAR FSW Outland. FswO who have aor of April are getting bil. I read somewhere on CIC website that they r prioritising and triaging applications as per their need (occupation and vaccancy wise). It's like triaging. So don't worry, u will be getting further updates any moment. No discrimination happening. Only oddity I observed is that all VAC in China are open..lol
Hope for the best ! You will get an update soon ! Cheers !

For us you’re right it’s soon to expect any updates but inland applicants are receiving their copr letters while the same cases outside canada has not received their ppr, and ircc claimed that this action is happening just for inland cases. They also send biometrics letter for inland cases faster and this is not fair. You can find the dates on immitracker.

I wish you and all people making efforts for immigration, luck

Thank you dear friend for your sympathy
I hope everyone could get through this, all our life has been affected and we cannot plan ahead for our future
Yeah that’s funny about reopening VACs in china but not around us!
Good luck

For those who've already had their biometrics taken prior to applying for PR, what are the chances that IRCC decides to accept those instead of requiring new biometrics? I'm curious. At this point, the majority of applications are being held back because of the inability to provide biometrics because the VACs are closed. Is there a chance they'll make an exemption for those with biometrics already in the system in order to avoid further backlog?

I don't think that they are going to exempt. I got my biometrics done couple of months back for temporary visa. But I've gotten BIL again. They require latest biometric details for criminality check.

I got an email saying that I am now a permanent resident. Just wonder if the next step I should do is simply mailing the information letter along with a photo of mine to the office?

Wow you are one extremely lucky person! Just wow. When did you give biometrics and at which location?

You will get a detailed letter in a few days with complete instructions for PR card.

Same case for me. I preferred giving biometrics again.
