What does this 17000 cap 2018 has to do with inviting more people in 2019? They announced on August 20, 2018 that they are increasing the cap to 17,000 in 2018. has nothing to do with this year.

Also you are mentioning a website that is not a reliable source of information and news about IRCC. Here is the communication from Canada.ca website that is the official website of government of Canada:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2018/08/more-families-to-reunite-in-canada.html

In Canada, Citizens and Permanent residence have the right to ask for information from their government. Nobody has to wait in the dark for information about their applications. If there are 1 million inquiry, the government of Canada is obligated to answer those questions in a timely manner. Stop telling people here they need to wait and be patient. No No No, if you inquire about your file and get no answer, contact your MP and get them involved. MP and Government is obligated to give you the answer.
Clearly I was answering a question bur without the question I can't comment kn my answrt. Assume it may be about the possibility of a second draw but not sure.

My in-laws extended past 2 years already. Their 2 years were supposed to end on Dec 2019, we applied again and got extension for another year. so total 3 years.
And, they do not ask for medical insurance.
Including proof of insurance only helps the application. It is always up to CiC to determine how long an extension you get. You can certainly ask but it is up to CIC to derermine how long based on your profile. Highlighting that you are waiting for PGP should also help secure an extension.

hello everyone,

I was wondering if you someone has done this before if you have any experience, please share.

while waiting for application to be processed, my parents still have valid visa to visit Canada, do you think it is ok for them to visit for a few months? What happens when the application is processed and they are in Canada. Would their visit affect their application process? Thanks.
No impact. They can only visit you at this point so should have a return ticket and pack as a visitor not as someone who is settling pernanently. You can cancel the return ticket when they arrive in Canda.

wow thats really cool, congrats.

So the process can be done when they are here, that's great. I thought CIC would send request mail to their hometown. Thanks.
Ours is 10 May case. They came here as visitors in the first week of Aug and brought PCC from home country with them. They did medical here and went to Buffalo for biometrics. Addl doc's were also submitted from here. So yes, process was almost completed from here although their file was transferred to NDVO for background checks. PPR came from NDVO and passports were sent to Ottawa for PRVs and COPRs. Yes, their visitor stay was applied and extended to be able to stay for another 6 months, waiting for the process to complete.

Hello Everyone. My parents status for medical is "we are reviewing the results of your medical exam" since March that they asked for additional medical test for my mom and we submitted the results. Is there any one here who is in the same condition? Is there anyone here that the status for his/her parents has changed from review to passed? Thanks for your reply.

My mom finally landed yesterday. Destination was Toronto but there was no direct flight so she landed in Montreal, completed landing and customs there and then took an air canada flight to Toronto and started her 14 days quarantine.

Question:
To apply for OHIP and SIN, does she have to finish 14 days and then apply? Is it possible to apply online? Is OHIP’s three months waiting is waived? Does it mean that she has OHIP now? How long it usually takes for PR card to arrive?

sorry too many questions!
Thanks guys!

When they moved to Canada as vistors, did you inform CIC about address change? If so, please advice what info should I fill in the web form, as my SA stage hasn't been improved. Should I inform CIC about the address change under my UCI? Thanks.

Hi Guys
I'm a May 9 applicant who has not received SA yet :(
My application became in process since July 26, 2019 and received AOR in July. I know that CIC was waiting to get my social assistance clearance from my Province for 6 months and they received my clearance in February but nothing after that. I even asked my MP to followup with my application but CIC responded to him that my application is in process and within normal processing time
I believe I'm the only May 9 applicant in this situation and I'm so frustrated.
Is there any applicant with application received in May here who has been waiting for SA ?
May 13 applicant, no SA yet

I completed DM2 on March 12. But since then, there has been no news and no PPR has been received until now. Is anyone the same as me?

My father and mother are in Toronto. If there is a PPR, they can complete the login procedure on the spot, but the immigration office just does not issue the PPR, I don’t know why?
