Ways to prove that my parents would leave Canada at the end of stay after initial TRV rejection

Dear members,

My parent's (Living in India) visitor visa application has been rejected as the VO could not believe that they would leave Canada at the end of their stay based on 1. Family ties 2. purpose of travel and 3. Financial status.

At the time of visa denial, our (My Husband and I) status in Canada was "Work permit". We attained PR status 3 days back.

Our detailed case situation and questions:

1. My parents do not have any immediate dependants/children in India: my grandparents are no more, my brother resides in the UK and I live in Canada. However, both my parents have sibblings who live in the same city and they do share a great bonding with regular family ceremonies and bonding. We never mentioned about parent's sibblings in initial application. Will a mention about sibblings in same city help in any way?

2. My father's current income is based on a rental let out. Apart from this, he also functions as one of the Director cum shareholder for a registered community pharmacy chain. Since I was not sure of the income from this role, we never mentioned this in the initial application. He has to return back to India to continue his duties for this private company that he runs. Will providing this detail help to strengthen the case?

3. My husband invited my parents to Canada and mentioned in the invite letter that he would take care of their accomodation and food through their stay in Canada, but we missed to upload my husband's finance documents like pay stubs, bank balance etc. However, my parent's submitted their bank FD certificates for $14000 CAD. We plan to submit my husband's finance docs when we re-apply. Will this clarify the visa officers speculations on financial status?

4. We selected "Visiting family" as our purpose of travel and mentioned March 15 to Aug 30 as the duration of intended stay. In the intent letter, my father mentioned that he loves to travel to Canada and visit my family here, spend time with grandson, celebrate few occasions like my birthday (July), and wedding anniversary (August), visit Niagara, Ottawa, etc before he returns back. Question: Why was the visa rejected based on purpose of travel? Is it because we gave a long duration of stay? If yes, when we re-apply how long is the recommended duration? Will we lead to unnecessary speculations if we shorten our plan to 3 weeks all of a sudden?

Note: Our genuine intention was to invite our parents to spend time with us and take them around Canada every weekend, and have them enjoy Spring and Summer.

Looking forward to some advice based on all your experiences. Very nervous in reapplying the TRV. We just want our son to spend quality time with his grandparents and show "how life in Canada is?" to our parents!

Thanks in advance. Sorry if the thread is long, wanted to include as much detail as possible.

Your biggest area of improvement is duration. March 15 to August 30 is far too long. This demonstrates a complete lack of ties to their home country. Request 2-3 weeks instead. If possible, wait a few months before reapplying.

Thanks @scylla . Our plan is to reapply by end of February. I am worried if reducing the duration of visit from 5 months to 3 weeks would be suspicious again! Should we give an explanation for choosing a longer stay time earlier?
