Anyone from Toronto or Scarborough got Oath Invite this year? I got DM in Dec 25 and haven't got the letter yet. My relatives came for end of year and were supposed to fly back home next Monday but now they are willing to stay a bit more so they can be here for my ceremony. I've called IRCC call center and only thing they said is that my DM was positive and that they're now looking for scheduling my ceremony but no estimate of when that shall happen. Is there anything that I can do to at least get a proper estimate so they can re-book their flight accordingly? Thanks
Hello guys!!! I just got very unexpected envelopes as I was waiting for the email for the Oath. I’m from Toronto, had my test in Scarborough on the 25th of October, and I got my invitation today by regular mail(!) saying that the ceremony will take place at Union Station :)
I’ll become a citizen on the 30th of January, it’s my dads birthday:)

This is weird to get by regular mail :) all their communication with you was through emails? Also, where did you take your test?
In all cases, congrats man!

Special Oath ceremony invites (one off, open to public etc) come via snail mail, not emails
Normal ones come via email (if that is what was selected in application form), else snail mail

It did say Special Ceremony but I thought all the ceremonies are special:) I was just surprised about the location. It’s a bit weird to become a citizen at Union Station :)

Congrats :)
Does it show they sent you an invitation letter when you check your application online?

It actually isn’t, this is usually the case for special ceremonies or if you choose correspondence by mail. Mine is tomorrow at the Chinese cultural centre and I got it after 2+ weeks they had sent it in my mail box.
