If you are not going to claim points then there is no problem. Just include that information (that you worked for company B) and attach a signed letter explaining that you do not have any supporting documentation but that you don’t expect to receive any additional points for such experience. It’s better than just misrepresenting.

Hello,
For my first company experience document i do not have a reliving letter. And now the is company name does not exist as it has been taken over by another company.
Also this was like 8 years ago.
I worked there for about 15months. I do have an offer letter but no relieving/experience letter.
Can anyone suggest what can i do for my situation.?

Also i have already mentioned this company while submitting my form in ircc form. Now i hv to upload my document, can i just submit the offerletter ? Will it suffice?

Thank you for your help.

Your lawyers don't have any magical insight-- the government of Canada is very transparent about the process on their website, and you can freely check what your score would be using their online calculator. You can play around with the number of years of work experience that you claim points for to see how it impacts your score.

I would have had a score of 481 if I had listed ALL of my relevant work experience under my NOC in my EE profile. I chose not to list all of it because I didn't need the extra points and wouldn't have been able to get the appropriate documentation from my previous employers anyway. I ended up only listing my most recent job with 2 years of full-time experience, giving me a score of 456. Post-ITA I listed my older work experience in my personal history and explained in my LOE the reason I didn't claim points for it. I never received any ADR. They don't seem to care as long as the work that you ARE claiming points for is thoroughly evidenced.

Alternately, as you sort of alluded to, you do have the option to move work experience from your work experience section to your personal history section post-ITA, but if you do this, your score will be re-calculated post-submission to make sure that it does not fall below the cutoff score for your round. You would also provide a brief explanation in your LOE about why you moved the work experience to personal history. It is not unheard of for people to do this. Work experience that is in personal history does not need to be supported with evidence.
I loved your feedback on this post, hoping you could help me too .
I have 1 years of experience from my home country , but i didnot attach the same on my student visa as there was no gap in between. Can I attach the same on my ecpress entry profile as it is a genuine one .
Plz Help

NOC Code......
0422
AOR Received.

I submitted my profile in June (AOR 28 June) and so far eligibility hasn't been started yet.
Reading on this forum about work experience I all of a sudden got worried that I did something wrong. I noticed that some people put their work experience under personal history and only put the experience they're claiming points for under work history, so just one NOC code.

My situation:
7 years of experience in NOC 4032 (elementary school and kindergarten teachers)
1 year of experience in NOC 0422 (school principals and administrators)

In both positions, I worked for the same school and I have a very clear reference letter from the school district HR manage which states my salary, duties and responsibilities for both positions. Because I obviously want to prove that I have >3 years of foreign work experience, I choose to use both positions to claim points. Did I do the right thing here, or is my thinking wrong?

Hi Guys,

I have an issue concerning the personal history section. I worked two jobs at a time, one full time and the other part time. I am claiming points for the full time work and I mentioned the part time work in my personal history which is clashing with the same time as my full time work. Will that be an issue?
Should I leave the part time out?
Does anyone have any advice about the above? I am in a similar situation. I am claiming for 3 years self employment (foreign) which overlaps into a full time job featured in my personal history. It is entirely truthful - I was working horrible hours during that time period and both were full time.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi
I have a similar situation. I have the work permit in my passport. Which is a good way of explaining in a letter of explanation that I have not given proof or put in work experience section as I am not claiming points for it or employer is not willing to give me the documents?

similar answer, if you're not claiming points you just put it in persona history only, no need to explain anything

Hi,

I have a query and its really confusing one for me, Hopefully, I will get a reply.

before my query let me state the conditions and facts.

I have completed BCA under IGNOU in India,

I had received my BCA certificate in Nov 2019,

And I am currently working as a computer technician in an International school form 2016 and before that, I was working as a computer technician in a private ITI institute and before that, I was working in 3 more companies as a computer technician.

I started my job career in 2011 and my BCA also in 2011, I went for jobs to support my studies and as I could not get leave of absence for writing the exam my studies took longer than 3 years to complete.

Now I want to apply for PR in Canada, and I don't know what experience to choose,

as I have heard the Canadian government consider experience only after completion of Degree.
and on the Canadian website, there is no mention of that,
they only ask for Experience as Full-time employment or equivalent part-time experience,
and they separately ask for Education,

also to mention my IGNOU BCA is accepted by WES.

All my experiences are full-time employment and paid employment.

and while going through PNP I found this on the Canadian website

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html
"
Work experience (maximum 15 points)

You can get points for the number of years you’ve spent doing full-time paid work (at least 30 hours per week, or an equal amount of part-time [15 hours per week for 24 months]) at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2016 National Occupational Classification.

To get selection factor points, your work experience will count if it was:

  • in Canada or abroad
  • while you were studying
  • while being self-employed

"
so my question as mentioned above is Which experience should I choose?

experience during my studies or after my Degree.

Note : All my experiences are full-time employment and paid employment.

Please help.

Thanks for your response but what if during my express entry (pre ITA) I mentioned it in the work experience. Its just 1 year which does not change my CRS score.

Hello seniors, I got ITA recently. I have 2.5 years of experience. 2.1 in my first company and 4 in my last company. I mentioned both in my express entry profile.
Unfortunately my second company where I joined on June 2019 closed down after 4 months of my joining.currently I only have joining letter I don’t have any other documents from that company.
Now the problem is that I am not able to delete that from my express entry profile since after ITA everything locked.

Please help

Hello Seniors,

I have more than 11 years of experience, in that my first company from 2008- 2010 i have 2.5 years of experience, I have included this in my work history for Profile creation,

Is it fine if i remove this experience from my work history , reason why i am asking this is, it would be very hard (not possible) for me to get a letter with roles and responsibilities in IRCC format.

excluding this i will have 9+ years of work experience, which includes 3 years of Canada experience.

Please suggest what would be the best possible way to reduce the documentation work , post ITA .( i still havent got my ITA at this moment.)

Thanks
