Do you have dual citizenship? How has the situation in you country specifically affected you? Or is it just the general state of affairs that is affecting everyone you are referring to?

It's unlikely a refugee case would be accepted for you since you have dual citizenship and can live in Brazil if you do not want to live in Lebanon.

If you want to try to claim refugee status in Canada, you would have to apply for and be approved for a TRV (tourist visa), you would have to fly to Canada and then you would have to file a refugee claim once you are here. You cannot apply for refugee status from your home country.

Agreed. The dual citizenship offers you the opportunity to settle in Brazil and will make any refugee claim difficult to support if you haven’t taken the opportunity to use your dual citizenship. Much like IFA, you have the option to relocate elsewhere without the need of refugee status.

I doubt the situation in lebanon will let you qualify as a refugee especially with the number of Lebanese living in Canada who are casually visiting for the holidays (like my family) you also have dual citizenship and have the chance to live in your second country. your chances to be a refugee are almost nil.

A Brazilian passport, as a Mercosur citizen, gives you the right to live in any of the 4 Mercosur member states. It will be impossible to prove to any government in the planet that you have a fear of persecution from not only Lebanon but all 4 Mercosur members. There are plenty of Lebanese in all of the Mercosur members therefore if the situation is truly bad, reach out to the local Lebanese community there to see if they can help you with jobs and education.
