Question about certificate of qualification

I currently have an EE profile but I only have 421 points. I currently have a bachelor's from a Canadian university and I'm doing a PhD here right now. Unfortunately ongoing studies don't count for crs points and it would be nice to have a PR before I finish my PhD so I saw that certificate of qualification can bring me up to 471 which should get me invited. My question is will it be possible to do the wastewater treatment operator in training which is under NOC 9243 (a recognized skilled trade) and get the 50 points to my EE profile?

Yes, If you clear the exam and obtain the certificate then it will give you 50 points under skill transferability. To obtain this 50 points you also need CLB 7 in ielts.
