Currently my application status reads:

We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Latest update:
Review of medical results - October 2, 2019:You passed the medical exam.
Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along.​

Previously, the last sentence was:

You may not hear from us for a while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.​

What does this change mean?

This shows only when you are in 13 weeks status Bar. My status also showing the same

Raise a webforum and got below mentioned response:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

· Your application was received via your account on September 20, 2019.

· Your application is currently being processed at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

  • Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
AOR: 20th Sept'19
MEP: 2nd Oct'19
Bio: 4th Oct'19

Can anyone tell me how much time it will take for security background as my VO is Sydney?

May i ask, what exact information you requested via webform, as i want to know same details about my application.
I tried using webform before but got a generic reply without any information.
Could you please share exactly what you wrote, like a template.
I can see CIC replied in a very informative manner to your query.

Does the e-CAS provide current status for ee applicants? I have been trying to check my status on the website but it is still not able to identify my application.

I am using the agent then they told me that can not share their ID. Is there any way to check my application status? Please guide me. Thanks.

it's for paper based applications only and not EE online applications
