Did you sent docs by courier of uploaded? Don't they usually send you a reminder if they don't receive the requested document? They won't any update in either GCKEY or ECAS as to whether or not they have receive it. Hopefully you get a reply from them but as you said ECAS upated on 28th we are processing, this is a good sign

They hadn't asked for new documents. I just wanted to get an update. I didn't know about ECAS and so I used webform to contact then. To get an update to see if the file had been recieved by the Visa office. I read about people's who's got lost in the mail and I just wanted to make sure I was not one of those unlucky cases. With how slow they are to get back you don't want to find out 1 week before your year is over that they lost you files and need you to resend everything. Imagine how tedious that would be.

Totally agree with you on the last part of your message but if there's an update on the 28th you don't have to worry, they have received it for sure!

Goodnight guys
My wife's from guyana,I'm from canada,we're july 30 2018 applicant also....our file has already left Mexico to go over to Trinidad,we got an email last month,so she's just waiting for a interview date, hope it happens soon
Our file was even misplaced when transfering to mexico in August,we had to re apply with half of the stuff really fast,
We were told it was sent to the US accidentally /lost in transit instead of mexico, because we were stuck an didnt heard anything for months, all they kept saying it was in mexico, when we pushed to get information I got the letter in Canada saying it's been misplaced,so above all this stress, I am finally happy its moving over to trinidad for an interview.

haha i know right arrival at winter is something.

"Canada cant afford the backlog with Quebec" -. Actually is the reversing its Quebec that sets the number of applicants per year.... Canada would send way more ...they can't do much about it (Refusing sponsorship with a quota ? def not..) than putting pressure on Quebec to increase this back. is the only thing i don't put blame on IRCC. lol

I know it's mostly done i just hope they honor their 12 months timeline is all. cause for now NOTHING block the situation and CSQ approval is on the way... so we shouldn't kept on hold for this either.
Hi,

So it is really true that we have been in pending because of Quebec's quota ? Seriously, I was skeptical at the beginning but I ordered the notes and they haven't touch my husband's file since July... So, is it probably because of that ?

No that is not true. Family Reunification is a priority for CIC. They would not hold your file back because Quebec's quota has not been reached.

Lol sorry but shes right. If the max is obtained they have no choice but to hold them until end of the year so they pass upfront next one... is what happened to a lot of ppl in 2019 cause of those quota in quebec. Put yourself informed is different from provincial here

I don't understand what you are saying. So If Quebec's quota is reached than no more sponsors can come into the country til the following year?

in quebec ? Yes theres a max per year even in sponsorship..each year gov is putting a max of delivered CSQ and its estsblished based on categories of immigration the only province that does that...why you think a lot of cases have been hold in sydney for months ? Quebec case ? notes says put on hold to me thats crystal clear

I think they hold them in Sydney due to the backlog at the visa offices. There are still pending cases from last year. I did research but no where did I see that Quebec was the cause of any delays for sposual sponsorship. If you have any references, I'd be happy to read about them. I looked and wasn't able to find any as such.
