My husband is a pilot and there are lots of jobs but they are mostly away from where i live.

He got laid off for the winter, which kind of turned out well because our PR only started to be processed and he was able to come back home and avoid having issues with cohabitation. We explained the situation well in the documents and I also consulted a lawyer before submitting everything. He said everything was alright.

Yesterday, i send a webform to inform IRCC that he got laid off and has been full-time cohabiting with me since our application has started being processed just to make sure we don't have any problems with his application.

I guess we will just wait till he gets his PR to avoid having problems
Unfortunately, it feels like immigration does not take into consideration people's reality.
I am sorry your having to go through all of this, my husband didn't work for several months after receiving our procedural fairness because all job offers he had all required travel.

In your husbands situation obviously travel is avoidable and I'm sure if he was returning home and not maintaining a residence elsewhere it would be fine but my response was to your question of if he was to move to a different province for work and living seperately for a period of time.

I wish I knew before that we could apply outland. It would have made it a lot simpler.

It is stated in the guide and checklist that a person in Canada can apply outland.
I never really took information on the ouland category as I was 100% sure it was for people living outside of canada. Anyway, we already applied inland. We got AOR. I sent the papers for Quebec immigration. Withdrawing at this point to send another application that is outland would be very time consuming. He is living with me currently. I emailed IRCC to let them know he isn't required to travel anymore and doesn't have to go back to work in another province for now. So it should be okay.
