HI friends,

I am canadian Pr living in toronto. I was travelling to buffalo,NY for some shopping and was admitted to hospital because of sudden pain in stomach. I delivered my baby in the buffalo hospital and want to go back home in Toronto after leaving hospital.

WE do not have baby's birth certificate and passport as that will take more than a month. Has anyone crossed US-Canada border and entered Canada with such a small baby with any other documents except Passport or Birth Certificate.

Plzz help. I want to return home asap. Thanks in advance

The child cannot enter cannot Canada without proof of US citizenship. I suggest you contact CBSA to ask what else they might accept.

The hospital should be able to tell you how fast you can get a birth certificate. Assume you don’t have an address in the US.

And you want to look into medical insurance, since your infant won't be covered by OHIP
