Coop Visa Delays

I'm an international student from Ukraine. Just applied for student visa extension for coop work permit. There are some huge delays in the system so Im planning to go to the border to try to receive the documents there. I got a really good job and cannot loose that opportunity because of the delays. I tried to call to immigration but they won't connect me with any agents.

Any help or advice would be highly valuable for me as I'm getting very worried about the whole process and don't want to make the trip to the border useless

Is there anyone who tried to do this before? If so, what documents did you take with you?

I would really appreciate any kind of help or advice

(Planning to drive from Edmonton to Coutts Border crossing)

Do you need coop work permit or study permit extension? I don't think they do study permit extensions at the border, thats not part of their mandate at least.

I think its considered as an add on to study permit. I heard someone in my university went and go it so Im trying to get more information about it. I called border services and they told me they wont be access my application as I applied online, but I know for sure someone went and it worked for them

If its just the coop permit that should be possible because its a work permit if your study permit itself is expiring I dont think they do that but no harm in trying.
