Job Offer for which I do not claim points - Post ITA

Hello All,

I received an ITA on 27th November. Before this, while creating my profile for EE, I checked yes to the section of having a job offer. I am currently on an open work permit and the job offer is my current job that will be continuing as they have made me a permanent employee. Since, with this particular organisation, I haven't worked with for a year yet, I did not receive any points for the job offer. I dont have LMIA either. So, there were no points awarded for this. I made the cutoff without these points.

However, post ITA, one of the documents they have demanded is an offer letter for the coming year. Now, I feel like I should've removed that job offer section as I am not getting any points for it anyway. Is it something I can do? I still see I can make some changes to the application package and but I dont want to make this before consulting someone as I am not sure if it will raise any flags. Please advise!

The only solution I have in mind is, get the job offer from company starting right after I have completed 1 full year at my current job! The company I work for is a small company and luckily they are willing to help me out on this but I would really prefer to remove that section altogether and have it written on my reference letter that this job will be continuing.

It is not a valid job offer without LMIA anyway. So change your answer to 'do you have a valid job offer?' question to 'no'. At the end of the application, evaluate your score and it should still remain above the cutoff of the round in which you received ITA.

Can you even edit your profile to remove the job offer post-ITA? Doesn't it lock up?

I'd say raise a webform explaining your situation. Maybe tell your employer to provide you a letter of employment stating you are already employed permanently.

I am not getting points for it as it is, i checked breakdown a couple times to ensure that.
Yet, they are asking for it.

TBH, I have no idea if I can change the information. The company has no problem in providing a Letter of Employment starting Feb 2020 (which is when I will complete a year in my current role)

The cut-off was 471 with a tie-break rule and i got invitation. It is still 471 and has not changed. I hope that does not affect anything? I think I am just being more paranoid than I should be. lol
