Hey. I am currently moving to canda to study. But just today i found out that my wife is pregnant. I was wondering is a good idea to take her along and deliver there or in India.. Can she come along with me and give birth in Canada.. We will be staying in toronto. Need some suggestions. Thanks

You will have to pay for the delivery in Canada which will be more expensive than India. Since she is just now pregnant I don't see any medical reason why she would not be allowed to visit Canada. Keep in mind that after 8 months travel is generally not allowed for pregnant women. This is honestly more of a personal question you need to have with your wife. You also need to think about your plans ahead. If you want to finish studying and then you are going to join together or if you are going to return after studies.

Then it's only a medical and personal reason. A heavily pregnant woman will not be allowed to travel, also according to the airline policy, you may have to get a doctor's assessment if she's fit to travel during later stages of pregnancy. If you're fine with bearing the cost of delivery in Canada then you can do so, there is no rule preventing you. If you want to deliver the baby in India you will have to plan for her to return early and then do the delivery there. I am not sure of the rules of having the infant travel but I am assuming some restrictions might be there.

On citizenship issue, your child will automatically be given Canadian citizenship if they are born in Canada although there is no benefit for you personally if you are raising the child in Canada it will be beneficial. Also applying for an Overseas citizen of India will give a Lifelong visa. Alternatively, you could seek Indian Citizenship but that would require surrendering the Canadian citizenship.

I am international student and I am pregnant. Most of hospitals in Montreal demand approx $5000 per day for delivery. Suppose if I stay 4 days in hospital the bill will be $20000. So now I am in fix .what i will do.

What does your insurance cover, if anything ?. If you can't afford to give birth in Canada, then only option is to go back home and deliver there.

Hopefully there are no issues but if there are then 20k will just be the start as worst case examples have been 6 figure costs especially If any ICU costs.

So you don’t qualify for provincial healthcare and would have UHIP. Every province have different rules when it comes to healthcare.
i have contacted various sources to confirm whether the hospital would be covered by any kind of insurance or not.. but there was same reply from everyone that any insurance will not cover hospital cost because I am an international student. If you any possible way to sort out this thing, please let me know ?

You need to check with your UHIP plan. Assume it may also be based on whether you are a student at the time.
