Hi, i was born in Canada but i am chinese. I moved back to Hong Kong when i graduated from elementary school and then I met my boyfriend in Hong Kong. But like because of the situation in Hong Kong. My family decided to move back to Canada and my boyfriend agreed to come along. After looking through all the options, we found out that marriage is our only way in continuing this relationship so we agreed.

I know to know if we can marry in Canada instead of Hong Kong. And, if we can, what is the procedures for him. Also, Can he be able to work right after the marriage?

You can get married in Canada. There are two options for applying for immigration: inland with Open Work Permit Approval and outland

Assuming your to be husband has a Hong Kong passport then will need an ETA to travel to Canada if planning to come as a visitor to get married.

You can marry wherever you want

No, he can't work right after the marriage. If you apply inland and include an OWP, he will get a work permit 3-4 months after submission.
